Go and Tell the World: Baptizing Them in the Name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit

Jesus under the anointing of the Holy Spirit commanded the disciples in His generation and in subsequent generations to travel into all the world and make disciples in His kingdom. The Lord has not left us alone to accomplish this supernatural endeavor. He knew beforehand that we would face principalities and demonic powers that would fight us in the spiritual heaven lies; to block the Lord’s directive from coming to fruition.

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” Matthew 28:19

The Body of Christ consists of millions of believers who confess Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Jesus said “go” and this means we will have to move out of our fear and comfort zones. Stepping out and sharing the gospel with our neighbors or maybe even go to the other side of the world to minister in a foreign land. Jesus will empower us to fulfill the great commission; He has equipped us with His Holy Spirit, the gifts of the Spirit, and His supernatural armor.

We aren’t expected to go and make disciples in our own effort. But we are expected to use the weapons of God’s supernatural power to bring down evil powers and strongholds residing over nations that blind people’s hearts and minds to the truth of the gospel. Anytime we endeavor to reach out to a lost and dying world; it is prudent  for us to anoint ourselves in prayer and the covering of God’s power. So we can bring people into God’s Kingdom out of the enemy’s camp. Satan will not lose one soul he has under control without a great fight.

We are comforted in the truth that Jesus has already overcome every battle by His eternal victory on the cross. We win not lose and God will confirm the message we speak with signs and wonders to follow. Jesus promised this would happen with those who went out and proclaimed the good news. Jesus also said we would do greater works than He did. In today’s dark and confused world where Satan appears as an angel of light, duplicating the works of God; we must do greater works to convince people that God is in our midst and the message we proclaim is truth. The Lord will never leave His word preached without confirming it. God’s message is authentic and He’ll support us in the presentation of the salvation message.

Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here  am I; send me.” Isaiah 6:8

Today, the Lord God of the harvest, is asking the Body of Christ the same question; He asked Isaiah the prophet. “Whom shall I send and who will go for us?” Do you hear His voice and what is your answer?

Will you answer yes, when God asks, “Will you go for us?”
