Heavenly Tears Over Supreme Court Ruling on Gay Marriage

Where I live, every day since the Supreme Court decision to legalize gay marriage, it has rained. The evening of the ruling, I was awakened to a violent thunderstorm. I felt the Lord spoke to my spirit, “These are the tears from heaven.”

Every afternoon, for several days now, the skies get dark and a heavy downpour happens. I have wept tears over the decision by the Supreme Court to legalize gay marriage as I believe the heavens are doing. While many are celebrating this landmark ruling, I am saddened that our country has made a choice to ignore God’s laws.

Sin hurts people. God is not trying to limit love but He desires to protect us from the damaging effects of sin.

America, please wake-up, just because the Supreme Court has gone against the Bible does not mean we have to accept that. We will all face Jesus one day and give an account for what we have done.

Where will this decision stop? What will be next? Bestiality, polygamy, or being able to marry close relatives? When we ignore the laws of God, we have no absolutes to guide us; and that means eventually everything will be permissible.

I am saddened for the LGBT community. My heart does grieve for them. I know that there is a story behind each one who lives this lifestyle. The enemy has distorted their view on sexuality, and the wicked one is a master at distorting the goodness of God. This was never God’s intention at the beginning of creation. This community has been lied to and one of the biggest lies they have been told is, “If you feel an attraction to the same sex, it is okay to act on it.” Just because we feel like doing something does not necessarily mean it is right. For instance, I might feel like acting on an impulse to hit the car who pulled out in front of me. Now we all know we cannot act on our feelings. Feelings do not equal right or even moral behavior. If a child molester feels like abusing a child, is that right? If you said no, why then is it okay to restrict that feeling or urge but not the feeling of same-sex attraction?

How will I respond to this decision to legalize gay marriage: By trusting and believing that God is in control, praying for our country and leaders, and believing that God desires that no one should perish. I will also stand in the gap with prayer for the LGBT community.

I believe God is raising up a powerful end times army to defeat the enemy. However, before He can do that, God is getting us ready by purifying His bride. If you have been experiencing refining or purging of sins, that is God preparing you to be ready for His return.

If MY PEOPLE, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and  heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14)

Side note: As there have been dark skies and rain for a week, when I woke-up this morning the sun was so bright and beautiful and there was not a cloud in the sky. It was a sign to me that there is hope and God’s light does continue to shine upon this land.

How will you respond to the Supreme Court’s decision to legalize gay marriage? Will you stand with me and pray for this community and for this nation?

I would love for you to leave a comment. However, if you do not agree with my beliefs, it is okay. We are currently entitled to religious freedom of speech. Please respect my views, as I will respect yours. I will not argue nor debate my beliefs. Thank you!
