Jesus-The Reason We are Free

He is the reason we are free for forever from sin and death. Yes, he took care of death and all of sin for all time. We have heard it so many times He became sin and death for us.  There is a line from a Phillips, Craig and Dean Song that says “I’ll never know how much it costs to see my sin upon that cross.” How true this line from the song is. Until we get to Paradise we won’t fully know what that sin cost God and Jesus. Then we will fully know.

This is why Jesus’ name will be lifted higher than every name; every knee will bow and tongue confess He is Lord. Also, this is why He is King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Jesus walks around heaven in all His glory and yet he still retains the holes in His feet and the nail marks through His wrists. Don’t forget the crown that dug into His brow and His side was also pierced. His love marks are a reminder for all eternity of what He did for us. Don’t ever forget!

So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. John 8:36

Oh! How Jesus set us free once and for all, by His precious blood. He made a covenant before God Almighty between, God the Father, and us. God knowing that we would rebel against Him still sent Jesus to love us back. The Lord had this marvelous plan in mind way before the creation was established. God had our freedom in mind long before Jesus set us free. It is written in 2 Corinthians 3:17 “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” Jesus died on Calvary so wherever His Spirit was we would be and there would be freedom.

God’s freedom is true freedom that will last for eternity. Once God sets us free in Jesus we are free forever. We shall know the truth and the truth will set us free. Let us walk in that freedom today and every day the rest of our live.  Jesus set us free!

How Does Jesus need to set you free today?
