The Bible in the 21st Century

God commanded in Joshua 1:8 “Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.” The Lord told Joshua to obey this word a very long time ago. What does it mean today for us in the 21st century?  Is God’s Word relevant to the Christian in today’s world? Where at the touch of a finger we have instant communication, visual images…. everything we desire at cyber speed?  Technology has spiraled to the point where man is trying to clone human beings. Does man really need God and his antiquated Word?

You may have asked yourself these very same questions. Today’s society says right is wrong and wrong is right. Every man does what is right according to his own conscience. Absolute right and wrong seems to have been lost in today’s age of relativism.  So where is the standard and guide for absolute morality? I am glad you asked.

The Bible is relevant for all ages and carries the same power it did when it was inspired by God to be written through his chosen vessels so long ago. God said his word would stand even when the flowers faded, that it would stand forever.  His Word the absolute guide for humanity; has clear principles and guidelines for every moral decision that will face contemporary man. His Word is needed more than ever in today’s world.

His Word has the absolute truths that framed the foundation of America and needs to be adopted by every society if they want to be successful and prosper in every endeavor of life. You see God knows what it takes to be successful in every area of life. The only way to do this is:” “Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.”
