Can Hobby Lobby Win in the Supreme Court?

The issue over Hobby Lobby’s refusal to pay for contraception through their insurance plans has been a heated debate in the US. While there are many people that believe they are wrong to stand their ground, there are others who are championing them for their courageous behavior in the face of immense pressure.

The facts are the facts in this case. Hobby Lobby pays for its own insurance plans, and that means that they can allow and deny coverage on anything they want at any time. Therefore, this is not just a religious issue but also an issue of privacy.

As Christians, we are asked by God to help people. The people who are suing for these health care benefits are in a position where they feel they must make hard choices to protect themselves. There is fine line between these two things, and the Hobby Lobby case skirts that line very carefully. However, Hobby Lobby believes it is well within its rights to not offer the type of coverage they are being asked for.

When you think about contraception and the Hobby Lobby case, take a moment to read Psalm 139 where it talks about how God has fearfully and wonderfully made us. How He has knitted us together in our mother’s womb. Do we really want to support preventative measures against this? I surely don’t. May God bless you as you live for Him.

  1. I continue to be amazed at how the consequences, that come about as we exercise our personal liberties, are increasingly becoming the responsibility of everyone else in society. I pray that God would give wisdom to the court as they decide this very important case.

  2. I believe they should allow for Godly and biblical contraceptives. The court
should decide this that they should pay for these kinds of contraceptives.
