Where Is That Place (Understanding)

“A fool takes no pleasure in understanding, but only in expressing his opinion.” (Proverbs 18:2)

Our Nation was blessed because some ordinary men/women in a strange new world found wisdom. In valuing this wisdom given to them by the God who possessed it, they got understanding. The gain of her was found to be most precious, more precious than anything they could hold in their hand and worth all they sacrificed to have her.

A long life of peace and freedom has been known just as was promised. No other nation on Earth has ever seen such riches and honor bestowed upon it. Despite having been given so much, our Nation is becoming a Nation of fools who no longer value wisdom. No longer finding her as so pleasant, our understanding is being lost.

No longer united in search for Godly wisdom, we now see our blessed peace is passing. Unless America returns to that place we once were, understanding, that blessed peace found only in Christ will pass…FOREVER!

“Blessed is the one who finds wisdom, and the one who gets understanding, for the gain of her is better than gain of silver and her profit better than gold. She is more precious than jewels, and nothing you can desire can compare with her. Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor. Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace…” (Proverbs 3:13-18)

Where Is That Place (Understanding)

Where is that place “We The People” used to be,
That place the world used to call “Great.”
It was a Nation so blessed.
Blessed with a happy Constitution.
Good for both Church and State.
Return us, Oh Lord to that place of peace!

Have we become so insolent to forget,
To forget what laws are made for!
Will we no longer obey them,
Serving instead that which was made to serve!
True right we now abhor.
Our One sure foundation we have come to regret.

What nation ever had such a righteous law,
Or ever had God so near whenever they did call!
He was ready to hear us.
He was ready to help us.
So blessed were we, though we were not His chosen nation.
We feared Him, we knew His law, and found grace in His Son.

To do wrong is a blood sport loved by a fool.
Becoming fools following the vain is now cool.
Now God’s rod of anger is upon our Nation’s back.
A marvelous work now has been turned dark and black.
We who had no good work has said to Him who did this good work,
You didn’t make me…I rose out of my own dirt!

We have hidden our hearts from His place of grace.
His wisdom we now are despising.
To know holy things we have been compromising.
We have forgotten the great price that was paid,
When love came to us sacrificing,
And was spoken of by holy men who envisioned a Nation peacefully united.

In this “Great Experiment” called America…
The wisdom of our wisest men are perishing.
Our children no longer grow up in the hope of His calling.
The path of God’s judgement we are no longer teaching.
Our eyes are no longer opened,
And our ears are no longer hearing.

We no more live in that blessed “Great” place united in peace.
It was great, for it was the place where the peace of God was passing.
It was a peace that passed all of our understanding.
Now that blessed peace of God is passing us by.
Oh Lord, please return us to that place of peace and greatness!
It was found in a place called…Understanding!
