The Bible Oscar Awards

Getting an Oscar award is a great honor; it speaks of the recipient’s hard work and accomplishments. What if there were to be a “Bible Oscar Award?” What would the categories be and who would be the winners? Weighing in at 8.5 pounds, the Oscar trophy is made with 24 karat gold. The weight, appearance, and quality of the materials used, testifies that a lot of time, effort, and money is put into the making of these golden statues. So you can understand why a big deal is being made about who gets them.

The Bible has a plethora of iconic men and women who deserves to be awarded. Their faith, dedication, and excellent endurance earn them a standing ovation. They have been our motivation, inspiration, role model, and source of strength. For some, we learn from their mistakes and others, we try to duplicate their actions. Today, I want to honor them with these awards.
