A Conversation With My Father

“I will extol the Lord at all times.  His praise will always be on my lips.  My soul will boast in the Lord; let the afflicted hear and rejoice.  Glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt His name together” (Psalm 34:1-3).

Jesus interceded for the grieving woman, “Father, she is your daughter. She is my sister. We love her and she is forgiven. I am asking for you to relieve her painful heartache and suffering.”*

Father God said to the God-fearing woman, “Don’t look back my child. You have an amazing future. You don’t know what I have in store for you yet. I do enjoy making you happy.  As you grow in your love for us, my plans for you are starting to develop into existence. You are finally opening up to us.”*

She humbly said, “Please forgive this bitterness from my past. I want to let go of all of the pain and heartache. I am finally ready to give you my burden after all these years.  You have been so patient with me.  I need your peace.  I know yesterday is gone and tomorrow will come, but I do want to enjoy today without all this grief and sorrow.Yes, I understand that time goes on, day by day.  I’d like to enjoy this life you have given me, Father.  Please use me for your pleasure so my life will be more meaningful. Thank you for listening Father God, in your precious Son’s name.”

Jesus said, with tears in His eyes, “I am so proud of you sister. Don’t look back. Cry for the last time. You have been forgiven and you are healed. Let your pain and grief go. Do quit living in your past. Yes, your precious infant son died and I cried with you. Remember the pouring rain that day? The raindrops were our tears.

“My heart broke along with yours when your husband left after such a short time from the loss of your son. I was not allowed to change his mind because of his free will. As the pieces of your heart scattered all over your hardwood floor, I picked up the broken pieces and saved them for when you were ready to have a whole heart again.  Such a time is now, my love. I have carried you all these years. That was your past and you have suffered and grieved long enough. Your pain is also my pain. Do not look back at all of your sorrowful memories. Remember the time you had with your beautiful son for those short, but wonderful four months—his sweet laugh and the love you felt for him. Do remember all of the lessons you have learned about us since then. You learned that it was not a punishment from me and you know that he is home with me. He is waiting patiently for you.

“I especially would like you to remember the good that came out of that devastating time in your life.  You came to me and became my loving sister. I am your personal Savior and you are healed.  Always remember  Romans 8:28, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to His purpose.”

Father God said, “Look how far you have come, daughter. You have grown so much since then and, My Son shines through you as you glorify me. I love you, and I see your love for me. You have blossomed into a beautiful weeping willow.  Your long wispy branches, just barely touching the dew kissed grass, as they blow in the fair weathered wind. You are my precious creation, my child. You were never a mistake.”

With awe and thanksgiving, the grateful woman said, “Thank you so much for all of your love, grace and mercy. You will always be my first love.  Thank you for saving me.  You have carried me for so many years.  With your help, I would like to walk beside you now.  Thank You, Heavenly Father God, Jesus my savior, brother and friend, and wonderful counselor, Holy Spirit.”
