Satan’s Great Worldly Gospel Deception

It is Satan’s great worldly gospel deception that anyone can experience Christ and not be totally changed. As my artist friend titled this featured artwork: “Duplicity On The Loose.” It is a false gospel on the loose!

NOUN:
a. Deliberate deceptiveness in behavior or speech.
b. An instance of deliberate deceptiveness; double-dealing.
The quality or state of being twofold or double.

Matthew 24:4-5

This false gospel preached says you can have Christ and the things of this world!

2 Corinthians 3:18

Christ is “The brightness of His glory”; the glory of God Himself. How can we see His glory and not be changed into His likeness? It is a deceptive gospel that says a man can be saved without reflecting the glory of God He has seen!

This false gospel gives man what he desires—An “easy believism” with a simple plan for salvation requiring of him no cross of suffering, no “living sacrifice” for the cause of Christ, and a promise of many worldly blessings: health, wealth, and success.

It only works in a land of plenty blessed by a God with abundance—And; America has spread, and is spreading, this great lie throughout the world offering them only a “form of godliness.”

With the veil removed from their eyes, those called of God, now can see the glory of the Lord. Through Christ’s shed blood, we will be changed! Through Christ crucified, the direction we are headed in will change.

Can the sun shine on the moon and it not be seen by all who gaze upon it in the darkness of their night?

Matthew 24:11

Moses saw the glory of God, but not all! Did it not change his course? On the road to Damascus, Paul encountered Christ and His glory with an unveiled face. Paul’s heart and mind was completely changed. The direction he was heading changed. Experiencing Christ changed his world and his thinking. Everything he thought to be true was proven wrong. He saw himself as the wretched sinner that he was, “What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death?” (Rom. 7:24).

Christ called us unto repentance, to believe in Him, and to take up our cross, and follow Him!

To “repent” means—To change one’s mind or to change one’s course. The mind controls the whole of who a human being is. Changing one’s mind does not mean altering one thought or changing one notion about who God is. It means allowing God’s will to take over control of what our mind controls—our will, emotions, intellect and how we see ourselves as we relate to God.

Through the glory of God we see in Christ, we can do nothing else, but—be changed by Him! No one will have Christ and return to the things of this world!

The beauty of Christ’s gospel is found in the “Good News” that in Christ “A Savior is born” who was the very glory of the Lord come down to man. He brought with Him from Heaven the promise of peace and good will to men who have nothing good in them. It is God’s will being reborn of Christ’s Spirit in the troubled hearts of men ruled by their own will.

How do you see Christ’s glory being reflected (working) in you as this new year now is well under way and how is “The brightness of His Glory” being reflected on others?
