Exercise & Sex

Look at it this way… it’s like oiling the rusty chain on a bicycle so the ride can be smoother. For optimal performance in both the bedroom and on a bike, flexibility and longevity is vital. Exercising comes with a plethora of benefits; it promotes blood circulation, relieves stress, aids in weight loss and body weight maintenance, enhance sleep, and boost energy. But who would have thought working out also has the potential to improve coitus?

Physical intimacy is really a physical activity. If participants aren’t fit, lacks energy, or are always tired, then they won’t function at their best. When it’s time to frolic in the undefiled matrimony bed (Hebrews 13:4), both partners should be bursting with vivacity. It’s time to seriously consider exercising if each intimate encounter consist of an argument about who gets to stay on top, and who gets to lie down. A couples’ level of stamina will affect the quality and physical intensity of sexual intercourse.

In addition, exercising releases feel good hormones that elevates mood. It also make individuals feel good about themselves. Exercising helps to get or maintain desired body weight, and having a positive self-image is a step in the right direction to building self-esteem. If spouses are in a good mood, and they’re satisfied with the images staring back from the mirror, then coitus will become more than just a marriage duty. Yes, sex is more meaningful when done with a partner you love. Notwithstanding, when the act lacks joy and is done to minimize complains or to pass time…meaningless is what it becomes.

According to Mayo Clinic, “Regular physical activity can lead to enhanced arousal for women. And men who exercise regularly are less likely to have problems with erectile dysfunction than are men who don’t exercise.” Exercise tends to raise the testosterone levels of men. It also increase blood flow to where it matters most–for both genders.

While all types of exercise is beneficial, there are specifics ones that can be done to assist with the complicated positions and physical exertion of sex. These work out include:

  • Plie
  • Squats
  • Kegels
  • Yoga
  • Hip-raises/Bridges
  • Weight Lifting
  • Lunges
  • Planks

Random and promiscuous sex is not being endorsed. The Bible warns, “Flee from sexual immorality…” 2 Corinthians 6:18. Also, 1 Thessalonians 4:3 says, “For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality.” However, enhancing the bliss of sex, within the marriage union, can only sweeten the relationship.
