Freedom from Fear

1 John 3:7-8 (NIV)—7) Dear Children, do not let anyone lead you astray. He who does what is right is righteous, just as He is righteous. 8) He who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work.

Father God, thank you for loving us. I know that You are love, and there is no fear in love. I also know that Satan and his demons tremble when we pray. I pray for protection from fear in our daily walk with you. I pray that we all remain in Your Word and stay strong in Your loving embrace. Thank you for the victory we have in You over the prince of the air who tries to sabotage all good we do in our obedience to You. He has already lost and he is so desperate knowing his time is short. I pray for everyone because no one is safe from spiritual warfare-we all get attacked—but praise the Lord, we have You on our side! Father God,  may Your love surround us and protect us.  As soon as we ask for your help, I know that you are with us.  Thank you Father for being YOU! You are unchanging, faithful, and just– omnipresent, omniscient, omnipotent, and sovereign. I love you and I fear nothing because I know you love me. God, please bless everyone with your protection against the spiritual warfare that is attacking us today and every day. I pray this in Jesus’ name. Amen

Please go to your Bibles and read 1 John – Chapters 3 and 4. It confirms that God is Love and He protects us from fear, because there is no fear in Love.

About Susan

I have always enjoyed writing little things, poems, devotionals, little short stories and bible studies. I love God and want to glorify His name and I love praising Him. I live in upstate New York with my Chihuahua-Snowball. My children are grown and left me with an empty nest. I have lots of time on my hands and love to fill it with God's Word.

  1. This made me think of how our prayers are like a sweet aroma of incense to God.

Rev 8:4 And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel’s hand.

  2. A former paster of mine once said that a good tactic to use against Satan, when you are tempted, is to pray for someone’s salvation. Because that is the last thing in the world that Satan wants to see happen, he will stop bothering you.
