A Prayer For The New Year

Romans 13:11

Isaiah heard the voice of God asking him, “Whom shall I send, and who shall go for us?” Isaiah heard God’s call and answered Him, “Here am I. Send me!”

We are commanded to, “Go, and tell this people” a very harsh message. Some will hear and believe ending in a glorious salvation for their troubled souls.

We may feel sometimes like we are sinking to the bottom like a rock, accomplishing nothing, but we need to take heart. We can’t always see the ripples we have made when by faith we were thrown into such troubled waters.

It is a very dangerous and perilous duty all children of God are called to; to share God’s Holy Word with guilty men and women. All who have heard God’s call and responded as Isaiah did, there is only one way we shall go forward into this New Year in victory! We must pray, “without ceasing.”

So, to all the readers/followers of TBL and to all the TBL Family—This is my prayer for you!

A Prayer For The New Year

A New Year is beginning to unfold.
Where it leads it is said, “Only Heaven knows!”
Many challenges it will surely bring.
Many blessings will there be to make us sing.

Teach us this year to number our days
And learn to live wisely in all Your ways.
Help us each day to deny ourselves
And take up our cross and on our knees be knelt.

As you show us both the grave and Your grace,
Always let the Son be shining on our face.
Don’t let us get comfortable and full of ourselves.
Help us to rely on You and nothing else.

In all that we have and all that we are,
May You be glorified as we follow Your Morning Star.
In all the joy and grief that will abide,
Let our ransomed souls not be filled with pride.

Help us to live in Your perfect will.
Help us to know nothing but peace be still.
Our final request, Lord, is that You come back soon.
Because where you are, we want to be too.
