Breathe The Breath Of God

Ezekiel 37:5-“Thus saith the Lord GOD unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live:”

Was there ever a time or instance in your life when you literally felt the power of God’s Word flow into you thereby allowing you to handle a situation that you were facing? And if so, what was the end result of that magnificent power you felt so strongly that very day you felt His Word breathe life into you?

Think of all the “self-help” books and motivational speakers in this world.  Countless book sales generate daily as people try to find the “source” to help them live successfully, live life to the fullest, and be inspired enough to accomplish the impossible!  These individuals purchase these books, and dole out cash that pours into the pockets of those who write these books. Not that there is any sin in doing this. There is a market for this especially in this world of today. And let me not get into the “influencers” of the world. People hired to “influence” others. My friend’s daughter is a “major TikTok star” influencer who now is bringing in a six figure annual salary, and she is only 20!  Okay, so again. Not a sin at all as people tap into a “need” and fulfill the need and receive rewards for it. So, why bring this up?

Well, what if I tell you that you have access to happiness, success, love and rewards. And it is all contained in the oldest and best-selling book of all time. Yes, if you haven’t already guessed it, I’m speaking about the one and ONLY- Holy Bible, which in my humble opinion, is the Best Book I’ve ever read in my life. And I’ve read thousands of books in my lifetime!

If you learn how to tap into God’s Word and let its Omnipotent power flow into you, it will equip you with His wisdom, answers, and the power to overcome in every single situation in life. His Living Word is the breath of God which “breathes” life into us.

Think about it. It’s kind of akin to a deflated balloon. You put the balloon to your mouth and fill it with air. It takes a definable shape in the process. Prior to that it was flat and nothing. Yet the breath filled it and holding its shape all within the confines of that balloon, right?

God breathed life into His Words. Every word He spoke brought life and created. His words didn’t return to Him without creating purpose. His essence, Spirit is in us when we accept Christ as our Savior. He lives inside of us. And so too, His Word which fulfills the purpose in which it was created.

Isaiah 55:1 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

It is no different today concerning the LORD and His Holy Word. It is the same “breath” of God that caused the Word to be “born.” The same breath of God that is in written form that is still lovingly inside the Bible. It was His own breath that caused the word to come into existence that is still encased in the Word to this very day. His breath, His essence if you will, are right there in the Holy Bible.

His Word when Ezekiel prophesied to the dry bones that made them come to life! His Words, His power, His energy, His Spirit all contained in the Bible. The most sensational Book ever. Everything you will ever need in this lifetime is written in the Word.

2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

The book is the “divine inspiration” of God. And it is for our benefit that it was “born” into creation. After all, as it was said, in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God (John 1).

So, when Paul wrote to Timothy, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God…,” he was reminding the younger man that because Timothy had the Word, he possessed the greatest source of power and energy that exists! He was reminding him that he can utilize and have faith in the Great I Am, who literally breathed life into His Word, and will breathe it into him.

We too have that amazing gift from above.

God’s Word.

The breath of life.

The truth and only way to be able to navigate life.

The significant life force that can never be extinguished, but instead ignites into a consuming passionate love, for us, His children. Amen!

Feeling out of sorts? Open His Book and breathe!

“Father, thank You for breathing LIFE into me, and for Your inspired Words of truth,0 in Jesus’ name, Amen.”

  1. Do you remember the children’s song?

“Oh the best book to read is the Bible,
Yes the best book to read is the Bible,
If you read it every day,
It will help you on your way,
Oh the best book to read is the Bible.”

That was true when I sung this as a little girl at Sunday School and it still holds true today. Thank you Camille, I have been receiving from the Holy Spirit in the past few days a deeper understanding of how
every single situation in our lives can be assisted by the teaching of God’s Word. Your article confirmed
    this even more to me.

    • Yes! I remember singing that song in our school and in assembly! Wow that was a great time, good memory. Thank you, Jennifer, for your unwavering encouragement to me and the other writers, it is so appreciated. Thanks for the affirmation!
      God Bless~
