His Compassionate Heart

Before the beginning of time,
God had us all on His mind.

He knew the enemy would be vindictive,
but He wouldn’t allow him to be good at it.

The plan that God had laid out,
would succeed without a doubt.

God’s love is purer than the driven snow,
more than we could possibly know.

His heart was aching for His creation,
knowing we needed a Savior for all nations.

How He yearned for us to be as one,
that’s why He sent His only Son.

Oh, the compassion of our God and Creator!
In one day, He had decided in our favor!

Jesus, God in the flesh, came to give us His very best,
that we can know who He is and be blessed.

As His favor and love began to pour out,
our sins were being washed out!

Jesus came for that purpose, to wash us with His blood,
introducing us to God, the Father from above.

Sharing with others His boundless love,
as He stretched forth His hands from above.

Jesus, Jesus, how we love You!
Without You we are lost and doomed.

Help us to be Your very best,
even when we are put to the test!

Thank you for giving us access to Heaven,
removing from us what hinders our brethren.

Your love alone has revealed Your heart,
with Your Holy Spirit who will never depart.

His compassion was displayed on the cross,
ignoring what others thought would be a loss.

Death, Hell, and the grave were defeated as Christ resurrected,
leaving the enemy looking at his own reflection.

Looking to the past, as he always does,
his soul had turned around to run!

Something he willingly brought on himself,
discarding any feelings that God had ever felt.

As believers, we know, that Satan’s still lying,
and his vindictiveness towards us, to him, is worth trying.

God’s purpose for us, here on earth, is not to cause pain,
but to help one another glorify Him, in Jesus’ name!

It should be easy to see how longsuffering He is,
because without it we would not exist!

Ephesians 5:2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savour.
