Hello God!

Jeremiah 17:10 But I, the LORD, search all hearts and examine secret motives. I give all people their due rewards, according to what their actions deserve.

Have you ever had a day where you just want to say hello to God, and nothing more?

I mean in a way that really exposes your heart like, “God, I Just wanted to acknowledge You.  I’m thinking about You and wanted to tell You Hello!”  Have you ever done that?

God knows our hearts. We can’t fool Him, nor would we want to. He knows when we are sincere, and if we are coming to Him in truth and adoration.

Psalm 150:6Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord.

And we should be! Praising Him. Knowing He is worthy of praise is an important part of Christianity. But sometimes, God is just like any parent on earth, we just want to be acknowledged and loved.

A majority of parents will confirm that their child most times “wants more.” Usually coming forward with their whining and laments of; “I want a new phone! I want a new tablet! I want a new car!  I want, I want, I want…”  Well, enough said. You get the picture.  But think of how happy a parent is when their child merely says, “Hi Mom!  Hi Dad! I just wanted to say love you!”  Wow! That’s enough to do a world of good to any parent’s heart!

Now think about how pleased God is when one of His children comes forward and merely says, “Hello God, just wanted to say I love You, and thinking of You.” No pleading your case for a situation. No mention of wanting that giant sized raise and promotion. Nothing. Just a heartfelt shout out to the LORD, acknowledging Him with love and appreciation, for all He is and all He does.”  A lot of people don’t realize that simply talking to God is in fact a form of prayer—and He really wants us to talk to Him! In fact, He is always waiting for us to do so.

He truly loves us. He hears us when we pray.  And speaking to Him from your heart is powerful, engaging, and peaceful. Most especially important is that we will be pleasing Him.

Philippians 2:11 And every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.  By saying hello and acknowledging Him, we are in fact giving Him glory. We are in fact professing our faith and love for Him.

We go to Him with our cares, worries and issues. He is always there at the helm of our ship, bringing us safely to harbor. He is in control and at the center of all things. That is all part of who He is, and what He represents. So, talking with Him in another special form of pray and communication, is rewarding and balm for the soul.

Sometimes, it’s nice to just say— “Hello God, I love You to the moon and back again!”

Have you ever taken time from your day just to say hello to Him?  Have you ever just sat down and told Him how much you appreciate Him?  Did you know that just speaking to Him is a form of prayer? If you have done this before, how did it make you feel during and afterwards?

“God, I just want to say hello, think of You all the time, and I love You with all of my heart, You are amazing, and I just want to thank You, in Jesus’ name, Amen.”
