Living a Life For God Daily

We are all on a journey to somewhere. There are many ways to go and many paths we can chose. Some of us discover along the way that we have been on a journey toward living for God. Maybe you have already made this discovery or  still exploring.

God has a plan for you and me. He wants to make you like himself. Not only will that bring Him glory, it will bring you satisfaction. But what does it mean to be like Him, and how does it happen?

He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God (Micah 6:8)?

When we come to Christ, the barriers between us and God are broken down, and God Himself lives within us through His Holy Spirit. But like any other relationship it needs to be nurtured and strengthened. If not we might drift into behavior that is unpleasing. The Bible warns, do not love the world or anything in the world.

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him (1 John 2:15).

Being Godly we have to walk humbly with him. The key is the walking part. It’s only when we walk with God in a relationship with Him that we’re able to do what’s right and love others. As we spend time getting to know Him, He changes us.

We say we want to Walk with God and We live for God, but in reality we are fighting God. It’s so easy to listen to your so call friend or friends. but hard for you to be still and listen to God. If you can find joy in those relationships, why can’t you find that joy in God?

“Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart (Psalm 37:4).
