Finding Inspiration

By Joel B.

Have you ever felt like life was moving in slow motion or that you just weren’t up to accomplishing the tasks you knew you needed to accomplish? I have those days sometimes. In fact, I think we all have those kind of days.

When life gives us these moments, I think it’s important to realize that everything serves a purpose. The Holy Bible even says so in Romans. Just take a look at the following verse:

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

If all things are working together, then all things must serve a purpose. Therefore, there are literally trillions of things and beyond that we should be able to find inspiration from. From the smallest stone that holds up a mighty fort to our loving Savior who has blessed us with the gifts of life and salvation.

Something I find inspiration from are the critters that God has created. Most are honest, hard working, and show loyalty to those close to them. I mean, who has ever seen a lazy ant or a golden retriever that wasn’t loyal to his master.

Friends, we all have our good days and our bad days. However, I just want to remind you all that you have purpose. Since you have purpose, it is important to make the most of that purpose and sometimes that means we need to find inspiration from things around us. So when you’re feeling like you need a little push, just look around you very closely and I’m sure you’ll find even the smallest flower, critter, or even a person who will inspire you. Thank you for reading and God bless.

  1. True words… I know I have drawn inspiration from some strange place, people, and things! But then again, God’s purpose is not limited by normality. He speaks to us creative ways. After all, He’s the creator of the universe.
