An Invitation to Heaven

An Invitation to Heaven

By Joel B.

1 Cor 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

Friends, there is a really good reason for accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, and that is because you love Him and accept His gift of eternal redemption. However, I’m going to focus just a bit on the reward aspect of it. Why? Because it’s important for the believer, or for those who are considering Christ, to understand the security there is in a future with Him. We don’t just receive salvation; we receive paradise. I’m going to try break this down a bit from a biblical perspective, so you understand some things we can know about our future.

Mansions

John 14:2-3 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

Our Savior is a master carpenter and apparently He is preparing mansions for us in heaven. Now if I offered you a mansion at no cost, you would probably accept it without hesitation. This is what Christ is doing for us. He is offering His followers mansions in heaven. I’m sure they’re beautiful and probably tailored to each of us.

Royalty & Crowns

When we accept Christ as our Lord and Savior, we become royalty. That’s right, royal princes and princesses in Christ who sit together in heavenly places with Him (Eph 2:6). We can also receive five unique crowns that are mentioned in the Holy Bible.

A Beautiful Environment

Rev 21:19 And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones…

Rev 21:21 And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.

Oh how beautiful the scenery sounds! We will be surrounded by gold and gemstones. I can just imagine hearing the sound of the angels singing as we walk and talk with our friends down golden paths.

No More Tears

Rev 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

One of the most exciting parts about heaven is that there will be no more tears or suffering. No more death and no more pain. It will be bliss. We will get to worship as a true community of believers and praise our Lord for the wonderful things He has done and continues to do.

Final Thought

Friends, heaven is going to be AWESOME! So awesome that I want to share it with you. If you haven’t given your heart to Jesus, I would encourage you to do so now. If you need help with this decision please go to our Romans Roads to Salvation page. Thank you for reading and God bless.
