Stay With Me Lord in the Midst of a Storm

Storms can often appear in the midst of a Storm. You’re feeling a certain way, and it seems like one problem leads to another. On top of your storm you are dealing with other issues going on in this world. In your storm you are crying out “Why Me Lord?” I am tired, I have tried this and that still no release. I can’t take anymore and I am at my wits end. Well, have you ever thought you may be the perfect person to go through this storm?

Remember it’s not the absence of the storm, but peace in the middle of the storm is the kind of peace you may need right now.

You can get through it; just believe. This storm will make your FAITH stronger. It’s your moment and you have given it all that you have so why not push through the storm. Your faith will get stronger and you will come out even better. You can make it, you can take it, and you will not break. I know at times throwing the towel in is what comes to mind, your faith waivers, and you feel everyone is experiencing blessings but you. I come to say you are blessed, but your blessing is coming in a different way than what you expect. Stay with me, for this is not the time to leave Him. Stay with Him, because life is far better with Him than without. If you are sitting, standing, driving, or whatever you are doing, just scream “Stay With Me Lord!!!” Don’t let your storm take over what God Has For You… Break yourself loose and stay with Him.

1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

I believe God will give you peace in the midst of a storm. “Peace Be Still”  Hold your ground while God work, and try to break from doing things your way when you see they are not working.

Philippians 4:6-7 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

God never promised us this life would be easy, but He does promise this: He is bigger than any storm we will ever face in this world. Be assured today that He knows your way, sees your path, and hasn’t forgotten you. He’s still at work, even through the most difficult of times .

Psalms 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

I leave this Prayer: Dear God, You remind us over and over in your Word that you are always with us. You tell us not to fear and you draw us close into your Presence. Thank you for your goodness. Amen

  1. Loved your article. There are so many storms brewing in and around us and we have no control over their appearance. Best not to try and take control of that which we are not in charge of as though we have some way of overriding them. We are only overcomers by the strength given to us by Christ. Lord help us to be mindful to call on Him in those moments.
