Listening From The Inside Out

Everyday there’s something different to face,
and it doesn’t matter what time or place.

The world will always use deception,
you can hear it in their perceptions.

As believer’s we can also hear,
when Jesus’ return is drawing near!

The signs around us are easy to see,
as God’s Word rings true in each prophecy.

Every one of them that was foretold,
is coming to pass for us to behold!

Knowing this as a believer there is no fear,
for we know the return of our Savior is near.

Oh Lord, we ask You for Your strength this day,
while we renew our minds in every way.

Help us to learn to think before we speak,
for in You we have strength when we are weak.

As we listen to the Holy Spirit,
we begin to finally understand Him,

The world is unable to hear the Lord speak,
for they cannot hear over their own speech.

Busy bodies at work every day,
pushing others aside come what may.

The speech that slanders our Savior, Jesus Christ,
who gave His Spirit in exchange for our lives.

We will declare to whom we belong,
“Jesus Christ the eternal Son of God!”

“We are children of the King of Kings,
who longs to hear us worship and sing!”

Knowing that we can boldly proclaim,
as we dance and shout, “He’s here to reign!”

James 1:19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:

About Linda Delgado

Linda Delgado was born and raised in Springfield, Missouri. She moved down to Corpus Christi, Texas, with her parents, where she graduated from high school in 1977. She attempted to pursue a medical field, soon after. Realizing that's not where God's plan was for her, she continued following the Lord. In 1985, she married her husband, Rudy Delgado, who she recently celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary with. In August of 2022, she became a Poetry Author. She also enjoys sharing God's heart through freelance writing, as well. She is also a member of Faithwriters.com. In their leisure time, Rudy and Linda enjoy the company of their two pets, Tina (Chihuahua) and Miss Kitty (Tabby). They also have enjoyed the adventure of raising their, now, 17-year-old grandson. As of September 2023 @ 7:29pm, Linda's husband went to be with the Lord. Even though this has left a hole in her heart, she is going to continue writing , as the Lord leads. Rudy will dearly be missed by all who knew him, especially his wife Linda Delgado. Until we meet again!
