The Irony Of It All

Many things in life have an ironic twist to them.
and knowing when it will happen are very slim.

There’s a lesson to learn in everything that happens,
especially when we are being distracted.

When we believe that things couldn’t get any worse,
we begin to think we are under a curse!

Even in the world that we live in today,
so many religions have been easily swayed.

While taking out prayer in the schools,
we’ve replaced them with others like fools.

We think we’re going in the right direction,
but we’re not asking for His perspective.

Too many people in this world today,
are being blinded in so many ways.

All types of history are being bombarded,
without thinking of who they’re really harming.

Monuments reminding us of our past mistakes,
show us of God’s mercy, longsuffering, and grace.

Emblems defining who we are as a nation,
are being stripped, leaving us in desolation.

What gives us the right to tear down our history,
which slowly strips away our nation’s dignity?

All our spiritual and physical ways have become vulnerable,
to the point where it’s causing our brothers and sisters to stumble.

Where is the Lord, God Almighty in this?
We’ve pushed Him away when things are amiss.

Confusion can easily make its way in,
leading us to doubt our beliefs in Him.

What we see and absorb through this life,
can easily cause us a lot of strife.

So many wonders why our children are so lost,
because they’ve not been taught to consider the cost.

The cost of living for Christ these days,
has lost its importance in so many ways.

I’m certain of this one thing:
God’s heart is breaking over life’s sting.

God knew Adam and Eve would fail.
That’s when Jesus was sent to avail.

Yes, our rival, the devil himself,
knew he had to exercise his stealth.

So many believe that he does no harm,
but when things go wrong, they are alarmed!

They are quick to blame someone else.
Oftentimes they’ll say it is God Himself!

How do people come up with that conclusion?
These kinds of views always end in confusion!

As believers, we know God works all things for our good
and He is walking with us, even through the woods!

Each situation that crosses our paths,
God holds in the palm of His hands.

Stubbornness must run in our spiritual blood,
because when we ask, our answers aren’t from above.

We oftentimes feel our solutions are better,
but instead, it causes us to become bitter.

Bitter with ourselves and our spiritual pride,
caused by not seeing things through His eyes.

As we can see, everything happens for a reason,
for within each person there’s a time and a season.

Isaiah 40:31  But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
