“Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds” Colossians 4:3

In verse 2 Paul says we are to continue in prayer, but what are we to pray for? Well in verse 3 he tells us. He gives us his personal prayer request, and it should be our personal prayer request as well. It is that God would open doors so that he and we can share the gospel of Christ, or as Paul puts it, the mystery of Christ.
在第2节保罗说我们要不住地祷告，但我们应该祷告什么呢？他在第 3 节告诉我们。他向我们提出了他个人的代祷请求，这也应该是我们个人的代祷请求。他的代祷请求就是神会打开大门，让他和我们能够分享基督的福音，或者如保罗所说，分享基督的奥秘。

Now he is in bonds for doing this; that means he is chained to a Roman soldier, because he shared Christ with everyone and anyone. Indeed, if we share Christ, we may end up in the same situation. God wants to open up opportunities for us to share the gospel and we should pray for Him to do this. It was when Paul was praying that he had the call to go to Macedonia. God opened that door of utterance against all the odds and look at what happened. Paul was able to share the gospel in Athens and plant the churches in Corinth and Phillippi.

This must be our prayer, that God would open up doors that would allow us to share the gospel with people. God will open doors like he did for Paul that we would never expect. Are you praying like this for yourself and for your fellow believers?
