Are you overwhelmed about all the problems in the world? You have no hope or peace about the economic circumstances. You say there has to be more to life than just existing, so you smother it with entertainment and social media? You question why you are here?
Are you struggling with relationships or a troubled marriage? Do you not have any real friends that will be there for you during difficult times? Are you in bondage to destructive addictions? Loneliness, depression and suicide, and drug use, are on epidemic levels.
Perhaps you consider yourself a religious and moral person with no serious relational or emotional issues, but see no purpose for living- there is something lacking in your life. Maybe you feel like you are lost and wandering in your life, like sheep with no shepherd. You feel like your life is so messed up with no way out. Maybe you have made some very poor choices and are suffering the consequences. You are wanting forgiveness and hope. Isaiah 53:6 says, “All we like sheep have gone astray. We have turned-every one-to his own way. And the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.”
Hopefully, you have come to the point where you want to call upon the grace and mercy of God. If you got on this website, it probably means you saw the title of this article and are seeking some answers as to why your life is the way it is. How badly do you really want to see God‘s grace and mercy at work in your life?
”We cannot save ourselves. We are people in need of rescue. Without the rescue of grace we are a danger to ourselves and to others, without hope, and without God. So in amazing condescending grace God meets us where we are…He comes to us in our fear. He draws near to us when we are separated. He meets us in our doubt. He pursues us when we wander. When we sin, he comes to us with conviction and forgiveness. He empowers us when we’re weak…he comes to us at the moment of our salvation, and he comes to us again and again as we journey…” (1)
Jesus came to seek and to save the lost. He can give you hope and purpose. He can give you a peace that passes all human understanding. Come to Jesus. There is no other name given among men in heaven or on earth by whom we must be saved. here are the ABCs of salvation:
Admit that you are a sinner separated from God, who has gone your own way apart from him (Romans 3:23).
Believe on the name of the Lord, Son of God in human flesh.
Confess with your mouth that God has raised him from the dead. (Romans 10:9-10).
There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven, given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
