In Charlie Kirk‘s battle with the culture several things that the Bible talks about have come to mind. He was criticized for talking about Jesus, too much.
1 Corinthians 1:18 The word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved, it is the power of God).
His encounter with the culture revealed not wisdom, but foolishness.
1 Corinthians 1:20-22 Where is the one who is wise… where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? For since, in the wisdom of God, the world did not know God through wisdom, it pleased to God through the folly of what we preach to save those who believe
Psalm 53:1-2 The fool says in his heart there is no God. They are corrupt doing abominable iniquity. There is none who does good. God looks down from heaven on the children of man to see if there are any who seek after God.
Charlie’s conversations with college students revealed how much foolish hearts have been darkened.
Romans 1:21-22 For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened, claiming to be wise they became fools…
2 Corinthians 4:4 In their case the God of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
“We battle a culture that is out of tune with God, a personality shaped outside the influence of the Holy Spirit, and an unseen universe in which powerful evil forces are allowed to exercise a degree of autonomy until Jesus Christ returns.” *
The only thing that will change the foolishness of the world into wisdom and spiritual truth is given by the Holy Spirit when one accepts Jesus as the savior.
1 Corinthians 2:12, 14) Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God. The natural person does not accept the things of the spirit of God, but they are folly to him and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.

(What I have stated above, depending upon the questions that were asked, was not necessarily true of all of the college students).
