This Changed My Life

Even though I lived a moral Christian life, everything changed the day I got on my knees and surrendered all.

It was then as I was walking through one of the hardest times in my life that God grabbed my attention and told me, “I don’t have your heart.”

In that moment, I dropped from the couch onto my knees, arms stretched out and said, “Then do it Lord. Whatever you want, I’m yours.” It seemed like a host of angels started singing over my left shoulder and saying, we’ve waited your entire life for this moment.

And the shocker is, I was not living in rebellion. I was living a “good” Christian life. In fact, many looked up to me and my faith walk. I led bible studies. I was pure and set apart. I would confidently tell you that I loved Jesus.

But God wasn’t impressed. You see, he requires more. He requires it all. He requires your heart. Jesus says in the word,

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. If you love me, you’ll obey me.” –Matthew 22:37-38, John 14:15

The devil has many believers convinced of the lie that if you surrender all, you’ll be missing out. But the truth is, living surrendered is the definition of living your best life. I have never had so much peace, favor or protection over my life like I do now. I’m now living a life of true purpose and you can too!

Prayer of Surrender:
“Lord, I repent for living a selfish life. Break off the spirit of fear and deception. I give you my heart. I surrender all to you today. Whatever you want, I’m yours. Thank you Lord for your grace and patience. Amen.”

Now allow him to do the deep work he needs to do in you. Spend time in prayer, meditating on God’s word and walk in obedience. Trust the Lord who goes before you. His plans for you are bigger and better than you could ever imagine!
