Jeremiah 2
耶利米书 2章

19 Thine own wickedness shall correct thee, and thy backslidings shall reprove thee: know therefore and see that it is an evil thing and bitter, that thou hast forsaken the Lord thy God, and that my fear is not in thee, saith the Lord God of hosts.
19 你的恶行必惩治你，你的背道必责罚你；因此你要知道并看见，你离弃耶和华你的神，且心中没有敬畏我，是邪恶且痛苦的事，这是万军之耶和华说的。

20 For of old time I have broken thy yoke, and burst thy bands; and thou saidst, I will not transgress; when upon every high hill and under every green tree thou wanderest, playing the harlot.
20 因为从古时我已折断你的轭，挣开你的绑；你说，我不再犯罪；然而在各高冈上，在各青翠树下，你却四处游荡，行淫。

I love Jeremiah. He is called the weeping prophet for a good reason for he certainly had something to weep about. I wonder if we weep like Jeremiah did.. and if not why not?
我爱耶利米。他被称为哭泣的先知是有原因的，因为他确实有值得哭泣的事。我想知道我们是否像耶利米那样哭泣，如果没有，为什么不呢？

The prophet is reproving Judah, to no effect as it turns out! Solomon says that the fear of the Lord is the very start of wisdom, so these people were not wise, because there was no fear of God before their eyes. I wonder is it the same with us?
先知在责骂犹大，但结果却毫无效果！所罗门说，敬畏耶和华是智慧的开端，所以这些人并不智慧，因为他们眼中没有对神的敬畏。我想知道我们是否也是如此？

Verse 20 is especially sobering for the believer; doesn’t that tell the story of most of our lives. Look at what God has done for us. He has broken the yoke of sin from off us and burst the bands and fear of death that once bound us and we say that we will live lives controlled by His spirit. But in reality, we are playing the harlot.
第20节对信徒来说尤其令人警醒；这不正是我们大多数人生的写照吗？看看神为我们做了什么。祂已折断我们身上的罪轭，挣开那曾捆绑我们的死亡恐惧，我们说要过被祂的灵控制的生活。但实际上，我们却在行淫。

Am I making anyone squirm yet? Yes, it speaks to us today. It speaks to us individually and as the church. We love all the benefits that God gives us and we make promises that we can’t or won’t keep. Most of the promises we make the Lord aren’t worth anything. They are worthless words. Believe me, I know because I have made these promises to the Lord.
我是否让谁感到不安了？是的，这今天对我们说话。它对我们个人和教会说话。我们爱神赐给我们的一切好处，却许下我们无法或不愿遵守的诺言。我们对主许下的大多数诺言毫无价值。它们是无价值的空话。相信我，我知道，因为我也对主许下过这些诺言。

We say we will get rid of some pet sin, but we hold onto it, like a baby holds to a stuffed animal. Why don’t we keep our promises? Because we think the Lord is either forgetful or ignores us but He does neither. He weighs everything we say. When we don’t fear the Lord, I know that I/we have no idea who we are dealing with. This is the one who created the universe in six literal days. This is the one who created every single creature, who made you, who understands all the thoughts of the 7.5 billion people all at the same time.
我们说要除去一些宠爱的罪，但我们却紧抓不放，就像婴儿紧抱毛绒玩具。为什么我们不遵守诺言？因为我们认为主 либо健忘， либо忽视我们，但祂两者都不做。祂衡量我们所说的一切。当我们不敬畏主时，我知道我/我们不知道自己在与谁打交道。这是那位在六天内创造宇宙的主。这是那位创造每一个生物、创造你、同时了解75亿人所有思想的主。

Maybe we should start to fear him, then we wouldn’t wander far off from HIM and continue to play the harlot. We need to be truthful in our words for we can’t fool the Lord. His thoughts and ways are far higher than ours. God is our father, but he is holy and awesome and deserves our respect and godly fear. Amen
也许我们应该开始敬畏祂，那么我们就不会远离祂，继续行淫。我们需要在言语上真诚，因为我们无法欺骗主。祂的思想和道路远高于我们。神是我们的父，但祂是圣洁和可畏的，值得我们的尊重和敬畏。阿们。
