彼得前书4

1 For as much then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;

1基督既然在肉身受苦，你们也当将这样的心志作为兵器，因为在肉身受苦的，就已经与罪断绝了。

2 That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.

2 你们存这样的心，从今以后就可以不从人的情欲，只从神的旨意，在世度余下的光阴。

Christ suffered in the flesh, and so we are to arm ourselves with the same attitude he had when dealing with suffering and persecution. As I think about these certain things come to mind: Jesus could have called upon 12 legions of angels to protect Himself. He didn’t. He went willingly to the cross; He did not complain about it!

基督在肉身受了苦，所以我们要用他对付苦难和逼迫的态度来武装自己。当我想到这些事情时，我的脑海里浮现出这样的想法:耶稣本可以召唤十二军团的天使来保护他自己。他没有。他心甘情愿地走向十字架;他没有抱怨!

He had complete and total dependence upon God. When we are going through hard times; when we are in the wilderness, we need to acknowledge that God is completely in control and that He is teaching us something through these times.

他完全依靠神。他在我们经历艰难的时刻;在旷野的时候教导我们，承认神是完全掌管一切的。

We need to realize that the reason for God taking us through these times of persecution and suffering is to drive sin out of us. The person who is fully surrendered to God in these times is less inclined to sin. Why? Because this suffering comes to drive us to God and not away from Him. It doesn’t mean we totally stop sinning, but this is God’s pruning to root out sin in our life. Remember 1 Thess 4, what is God’s will for our lives… our sanctification!

我们需要认识到，神带领我们经历这些迫害和苦难的原因是为了把罪从我们身上赶出去。在这些时候，一个完全降服于神的人是不太容易犯罪的。为什么?因为苦难是为了驱使我们走向神，而不是远离神。这并不意味着我们完全停止犯罪，但这是神在我们生命中铲除罪恶的修枝。记住帖撒罗尼迦前书第4章，神对我们生命的旨意是什么…我们的圣洁!

God does not want us to waste our time living in man’s world. He wants us to live in God’s world, vs. 2. He wants us to live in the will of God, and what is the will of God you say?

上帝不希望我们浪费时间生活在人类的世界里。他要我们活在神的世界里，在第2节。他要我们活在神的旨意里，那么神的旨意是什么?

We have already mentioned it, I Thess chapter 4:

我们已经在帖前第4章提到过

3 For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality;

3.神的旨意就是要你们成为圣洁，远避淫行；

4 that each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honour,

4. 要你们各人晓得怎样用圣洁，尊贵守着自己的身体，

5 not in the passion of lust like the Gentiles who do not know God

5.不放纵私欲的邪情，像那不认识神的外邦的人

That is what I would call general sanctification. It is God’s will for every believer to be free from things like sexual immorality and sin, but how a person gets there will be different. God has personal sanctification; look at verse 4, each one of you, it’s personal.

这就是我所说的完全成圣。神的旨意是要每个信徒禁止淫乱和罪，但每个人如何达到目的是不同的。神有个人的圣洁; 看第4节，你们每个人，这是个人的。

So, we arm ourselves with the same attitude Jesus had, because that will lead to our sanctification. God is interested in making us like His Son. We won’t see perfection until we get to heaven, but we need to aim high.

所以，我们要用耶稣的态度来武装自己，因为那将引导我们成圣。神有意使我们像他的儿子。我们只有进了天堂才能看到完美，我们志在必得。

God doesn’t want us to live in man’s world; He doesn’t want us to live in a cesspool of sin, but to be a clean and useful vessel to honour Him.

上帝不想让我们活在人类的世界里;他不希望我们生活在罪恶的深渊里，而是希望我们成为一个洁净有用的器皿来荣耀他。
