8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
9 现在我们既靠着他的血称义，就更要藉着他免去神的忿怒。

10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
10 因为我们作仇敌的时候，且藉着神儿子的死得以与神和好，既已和好，就更要藉着他的生得救了。

11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.
11 不但如此，我们既藉着我们的主耶稣基督得与神和好，就藉着他以神为乐。

FOUR AMAZING TRUTHS THAT BLOW THE MIND
四个令人脑洞大开的奇妙真理

The bible is beyond amazing, but some passages are just mind blowing.
圣经本来就超级奇妙，但有些段落简直让人脑子炸开。

My Friend David has just been to Nepal and trekked to Everest base camp, Romans is often called the Everest of all the epistles, and we like David are on a journey, we are trekking to base camp, very few of us, would ever get further up Mount Everest and only one or two to the top.

Paul is writing to a very sophisticated audience, he is outlining amazing truths, things that basically blow the mind.

The first is in verse 8, as it says in Ephesians 2, we were truly without hope, verses 1-3 say this:

And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
1 你们死在过犯和罪恶之中，他叫你们活过来；

2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

We are virtually worthless, should anyone love us like God does?
我们几乎一文不值，有人会像神这样爱我们吗？

We are completely infected by sin, but in our sinful condition, God loves us.
我们被罪完全感染，但在我们仍旧犯罪的时候，神爱我们。

The new American standard bible uses the word poured out and that is what happened at the cross, not only was God’s righteous judgement and justice poured out, but his love was poured out too.
新美国标准版用“倾倒而出”这个词——十字架上就是这样：神的公义审判倾倒而出，他的爱也倾倒而出。

My wife tells me she loves me, but also, she shows it by doing things, God didn’t just say I love you, He died to show us His love. His actions backed up his words.
我太太对我说“我爱你”，但她还用行动证明；神不只说“我爱你”，他死给我们看，用行动兑现他的话。

God’s love in verse 8 is totally mind blowing.
第8节的神的爱，真的让人脑子炸裂。

So what happened at the cross, well we are justified by Christ’s sacrificial death and the outpouring of His blood.
十字架上发生了什么？我们因基督的牺牲之死和宝血倾流而称义。

We can now enter the throne room of God clothed with the righteousness of Christ, this as Hebrews 10 says is a new and living way:
我们如今披着基督的义，可以进入神的宝座前——希伯来书10章说这是“又新又活的路”：

19 Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus,
19 弟兄们，我们既因耶稣的血得以坦然进入至圣所，

20 by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, through His flesh,
20 是藉着他给我们开了一条又新又活的路，那路就是他的肉体；

21 and since we have a great priest over the house of God,
21 又有一位大祭司治理神的家，

22 let’s approach God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water
22 并我们心中天良的亏欠已经洒净，身体用清水洗净了，就当存着诚心和充足的信心来到神面前。

Not only are we justified in this life, we are saved from God’s wrath, we are worthy of His wrath, but Jesus took the wrath of God for us and therefore we can be eternally secure.
我们不只今生称义，还脱离神的忿怒——我们本该受怒，耶稣却替我们承受，因此我们永远平安。

Verse 1 of the fifth and eighth chapters of romans say it all:
罗马书第5章第1节和第8章第1节把一切说透了：

Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ
1 我们既因信称义，就藉着我们的主耶稣基督得与神相和。

Therefore, there is now no condemnation at all for those who are in Christ Jesus.
1 如今那些在基督耶稣里的，就不定罪了。

Verse 10 states that we are reconciled to God, we were once His enemies, but now we are His sons and daughters, this is one of the most amazing truths that completely blows my mind.
第10节说我们与神和好——从前是仇敌，如今是儿女，这真理太震撼，彻底炸裂我的脑子。

The death of the Saviour reconciles us to God, but we are saved also by the resurrection of our Saviour, chapter 4 verses 24-25 says this:
救主的死使我们与神和好，救主的复活使我们得救。第4章24-25节说：

24 But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on Him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;
24 也是为我们这些相信那叫耶稣从死里复活者的缘故；

25 Who was delivered for our offences and was raised again for our justification.
25 耶稣被交给人，是为我们的过犯；复活，是为叫我们称义。

In verse 11, it starts in the ESV by saying More than that, so there’s more!
第11节（ESV英文版）开头说“不仅如此”，意思是：还有更棒的！

We can actually rejoice that we have received the atonement, we are at one with God and so we can rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of Glory.
我们真的可以欢呼：我们已得与神合一！满有荣耀、无法言喻的大喜乐！

Paul says in Philippians 4:4
保罗在腓立比书4:4说：

Rejoice again I say rejoice
“你们要靠主常常喜乐，我再说，你们要喜乐！”

So good, he had to say it twice!
实在太棒，他忍不住说了两遍！

So these four great truths:
所以这四个超级真理：

Verse 8 God’s love was poured out upon us
第8节：神的爱倾倒在我们身上

Verse 9 We are Justified before God by the death of his Son
第9节：靠神儿子之死在神面前称义

Verse 10 We are reconciled to God
第10节：与神和好

Verse 11 We are able to rejoice with joy
第11节：能满心欢喜

I don’t know about you, but these things, just totally blow my mind.
