REASONABLE SERVICE
合理的服事

1 I appeal to you therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of [all] the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies [presenting all your members and faculties] as a living sacrifice, holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship.
因此，弟兄们，我以神的诸般慈悲劝你们，将身体献上，当作活祭，是圣洁的（分别为圣、奉献），是神所喜悦的；这是你们合理（理性、智慧）的服事和属灵的敬拜。

2 Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you].
不要效法这个世界（这个世代），[随从其外在、肤浅的习俗]，乃要心意更新而变化（改变），[凭着新的理想和新的态度]，好叫你们察验何为神的善良、纯全、可喜悦的旨意，就是那在祂眼中为你们是善良、纯全、可喜悦的。

God’s Word is truly amazing! This version of the Bible I am using is known as the Amplified Version. The words shown in the brackets [ ] provide a broader description of the passage for a better understanding of the scriptures.

The Book of Romans is perhaps one of the most difficult books to understand in the New Testament. Part of the reason may be due to the fact that it was written to an audience that was well-educated on the matters of law, politics, and science…the people of Rome.
《罗马书》或许是新约中最难理解的书之一。部分原因可能是因为它写给一个在法律、政治和科学方面受过良好教育的对象——罗马人。

In chapters 1-11, Paul makes the case for man’s need for salvation, and how God has provided redemption through His Son, Jesus Christ. He also lays out the benefits of being redeemed, and the spiritual state of Israel in God’s redemptive plan.

In chapter 12, Paul appeals to the believer to live in a way that reflects the transformative work of God on their behalf.

The God we serve is holy; And He has chosen to show us mercy instead of wrath. In this passage, Paul calls on us to live a life that shows we belong to God…a life of holiness. A life that forsakes the world and its lust. A life that seeks to glorify God.

What strikes me is the phrase WHICH IS YOUR REASONABLE SERVICE. In other words, asking us to be a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God is not too much to ask considering the great price the Lord paid by offering His Son as the sacrifice for our sins.
让我印象深刻的是“这是你们合理的服事”这句话。换句话说，鉴于主为我们的罪献上祂的儿子作为牺牲的巨大代价，要求我们做活祭，圣洁且为神所悦纳，并不过分。

When we trust God for salvation, we are making a decision to live on His terms. God should not have to beg us, or coerce us to live for Him; we should long to live for Him.
当我们信靠神得救赎时，我们是在决定按祂的条件生活。神不必恳求我们或强迫我们为祂而活；我们应当渴望为祂而活。

Our lives should be one of gratitude and thanksgiving, accentuated by holiness and purity in our thoughts and deeds.
我们的生活应当充满感恩和感谢，以圣洁和思想与行为的纯净为特色。

The great Hymn, “When I Survey the Wondrous Cross” puts it all into perspective. Here is what it says,

“Were the whole realm of nature mine, that were an offering far too small; love so amazing, so divine, demands my soul, my life, my all.”

Offering our lives to God is a privilege; to know that God desires us to be His children should amaze us, and set our hearts aflame with joy and purpose to make ourselves completely and unconditionally His.
将我们的生命献给神是一种特权；知道神渴望我们成为祂的儿女应当令我们惊叹，并让我们的心充满喜乐和目标，完全、无条件地属于祂。

God deserves our best. He deserves our all. As you think about His goodness to you, may you be filled with a desire to surrender your life completely to Him.
神配得我们最好的。祂配得我们的一切。当你思想祂对你的恩慈，愿你充满渴望，将你的生命完全降服于祂。

This dear man of God sums it up perfectly:

We might blush!

If we are brought to consider what Christ sacrificed for us, and how little we sacrifice for Him, we might blush!
