Where Is Your Light? – 你的光在哪里？

Matthew 5
马太福音 5章

14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
14 你们是世上的光。城造在山上是不能隐藏的。

15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
15 人点灯，不放在斗底下，是放在灯台上，就照亮一家的人。

16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
16 你们的光也当这样照在人前，叫他们看见你们的好行为，便将荣耀归给你们在天上的父。

WHERE IS YOUR LIGHT?
你的光在哪里？

Jesus shines forth from us by the Holy Spirit, but we can hide him.
耶稣通过圣灵从我们里面发光，但我们也可能把他隐藏起来。

If you have a light, you want to show it, you don’t come into your house at night and then not turn on the light.
如果你手中有光，你自然会想要点亮它。你不会在夜晚回到家时却不打开灯光。

One example, I can give is that of witnessing, we have many opportunities to share the gospel but do we take them, either by fear or by worrying that the message we share will be rejected. That is no excuse, Paul shared the gospel everywhere he went, he was largely rejected like at Athens, but some believed. When we don’t share the gospel, we hide the light from people, people are walking around in darkness, they need light.
我可以举一个例子，就是作见证。我们有许多机会分享福音，但我们是否抓住了这些机会？还是因为害怕，或担心自己传讲的信息被拒绝？这些都不是借口。保罗无论到哪里都分享福音，虽然在雅典等地大多被拒绝，但仍有人信了主。当我们不传福音时，就是把光隐藏了起来。人们在黑暗中行走，他们需要光明。

Another way we can block out the light, is by unresolved and unforgiven sin, the Holy Spirit, cannot work through people who simply have anger and bitterness ruling their lives, he works through clean vessels.
我们遮蔽光明的另一种方式，就是任凭现有的罪不去解决，也不求赦免。圣灵无法在充满怒气和苦毒的生命中自由运行，他只在洁净的器皿中工作。

We are not only to shine our lights before men, by sharing the gospel, but by doing good works. What do we do to help people in your family, your church and your community?
我们不仅要藉着传福音在人前发光，也要藉着行善来发光。我们是否在家中、在教会、在社区里帮助他人呢？
