Worthless Idols – 毫无价值的偶像 

Psalm 115

诗篇 115

1 Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name give glory,for the sake of your steadfast love and your faithfulness! 2 Why should the nations say,  “Where is their God?” 3 Our God is in the heavens;he does all that he pleases. 4 Their idols are silver and gold,the work of human hands. 5 They have mouths, but do not speak;eyes, but do not see. 6 They have ears, but do not hear;  noses, but do not smell. 7 They have hands, but do not feel; feet, but do not walk;and they do not make a sound in their throat. 8 Those who make them become like them;so do all who trust in them.

1 耶和华啊，不是给我们，而是把荣耀归给你的名，因为你坚定不移的爱和你的信实！2 为什么列国要说：“他们的神在哪里呢？3 我们的 神在天上; 他随心所欲。4 他们的偶像是金银，是人手所造的。5 他们有口，却不说话; 有眼睛，但看不到。6 他们有耳，却听不见; 有鼻子，但不能闻。7 他们有手，却不能触摸; 有脚，但不要走路; 他们的喉咙里也不发声。8 造他们的也像他们; 所有信任他们的人也是如此。

Worthless Idols

毫无价值的偶像

Man seeks to make fun of God, he says where are you? He is truly depraved and needs a change of heart, that only God can do through Christ.

男人试图嘲笑上帝，他说你在哪里？他真的是堕落的，需要改变心灵，只有神才能通过基督来做。

His heart is truly turned against his creator, his whole mindset, is to blame God and to say ” where are you”?

他的心真的背叛了他的创造者，他的整个心态，就是责怪上帝并说“你在哪里”？

What he doesn’t realize is that it is God, who is in charge, he does exactly, what pleases him.

他没有意识到的是，是上帝在掌管，他精确地做了他所喜悦的事情。

In verse 1, the church is to give glory to our Lord, where the world seeks to put God down, the church must seek to uplift him.

在第 1 节中，教会要把荣耀归给我们的主，当世界试图贬低上帝时，教会必须寻求提升他。

The idols of the world are useless, they bring no comfort in times of trouble, they cannot comfort the bereaved, transform a marriage, only the true and living God can and does do that.

世上的偶像是无用的，它们在困难中不会带来安慰，它们无法安慰失去亲人的人，无法改变婚姻，只有真实而活着的上帝才能而且确实做到了。

Psalm 2 comes to mind, we have to kiss the son, we have to come to trust him, these nations instead of cursing Christ, must confess Christ.

我想起了诗篇第2篇，我们必须亲吻儿子，我们必须信靠他，这些国家不是咒诅基督，而是必须承认基督。

4 He who sits in the heavens laughs;the Lord holds them in derision. 5 Then he will speak to them in his wrath, and terrify them in his fury, saying, 6 “As for me, I have set my King on Zion, my holy hill.”7 I will tell of the decree: The Lord said to me, “You are my Son;today I have begotten you. 8 Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage, and the ends of the earth your possession. 9 You shall break[b] them with a rod of iron and dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.”10 Now therefore, O kings, be wise;be warned, O rulers of the earth. 11 Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling. 12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and you perish in the way,for his wrath is quickly kindled.

4 坐在天上的，就笑; 主嘲笑他们。5 他必在怒中对他们说话，在怒中惊恐他们，说：6 至于我，我已立我的王在我的圣山锡安。7 我诉说这旨意：耶和华对我说：“你是我的儿子; 今天我生了你。8 向我祈求，我必使列国为你们的产业，以地极为业。9 你要用铁棒打碎他们，像窑匠的器皿一样砸碎。10 所以，君王啊，现在要有智慧; 大地的统治者啊，请谨慎。11 你们要以敬畏事奉上主，以战兢而欢喜。12 你们要亲吻儿子，免得他发怒，使你灭亡在路上，因为他的怒气很快就燃起来了。

Blessed are all who take refuge in him.

所有投靠他的人都有福了。

Paul in Acts 17, saw many idols in Athens, one to the unknown God, when we see these idols, we must uplift the name of Our God, the one true and living Saviour, because all other so-called gods, have ears but they do not hear, they can’t and won’t help anyone.

保罗在使徒行传 17 章中，在雅典看到许多偶像，一个是献给未知的上帝的，当我们看到这些偶像时，我们必须高举我们上帝的名，唯一真实和永活的救世主，因为所有其他所谓的神，都有耳却听不见，他们不能也不会帮助任何人。

A needy world needs to hear that Christ is the answer, and not some worthless idol.

一个贫乏的世界，需要听到:基督就是答案，而不是什么毫无价值的偶像。
