The Divine Urgency of “I MUST”
When Jesus spoke the words “I must,” He revealed not only Divine assignment but sacred urgency. These weren’t casual intentions—they were declarations of alignment with heaven’s will. “I must be about my Father’s business” wasn’t spoken from obligation, but from identity. It was the voice of the Spirit within Him, echoing the eternal purpose for which He came.
We too carry an “I must” in our spirit—a holy compulsion that stirs when we draw near to God. It’s the whisper that says, “You were made for this.” Whether it’s caregiving, advocacy, prayer, or stewardship of land and legacy, our “I must” is the Divine fingerprint on our soul. When we honor it, we’re not just obeying—we’re becoming.
Putting God’s business first doesn’t mean abandoning our lives; it means infusing them with light. When we fuel our “I must,” we step into the flow of heaven’s order. We find clarity in confusion, peace in transition, and fruitfulness in places that once felt barren. The business of the Lord is not just sacred—it’s sustaining. It brings prosperity not merely in wealth, but in wisdom, wellness, and wonder.

Jesus didn’t wait for perfect conditions to say “I must.” He spoke it in temples, in towns, in tension. So must we. Our “I must” may lead us into quiet sanctuaries or bold acts of faith—but it always leads us closer to the heart of God.
