Journey To Renewal Through Redemption -Three Times Over!

Esme’s Journey to Renewal

Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Esme grew up in a home filled with turmoil and abuse. Her parents’ constant fighting and hateful dialogue left deep emotional scars, and she struggled every second of her days to find her place in the world. As a teenager, she sought solace in parties and heavy drinking and experimenting with drugs- while trying to numb the pain that haunted her every day. Her nights were filled with loud music, wicked laughter, and fleeting physical connections, but the huge void and emptiness inside her grew exponentially.

One night, after a particularly rough encounter, high and miserable, and being roughed up by one of her physical connections -Esme found herself crying on the side of the road in a helpless heap. She was feeling more lost than ever. It was then that she saw a figure approaching—a kind-hearted chaplain named David. He had turned off the road in error and was lost. But with God there are no “errors” or “mistakes” or “coincidences.”   He was there for God’s purpose in rescuing Esme. He was where Esme was years earlier searching for meaning in his own life, and Esme’s despair called out to him- and hence guided by the Spirit.

David sat beside her, offering a comforting presence and a listening ear. He didn’t judge her or try to fix her problems; he simply showed her that she wasn’t alone. Over a great period of time, Esme began to open up to David, sharing her struggles and her dreams of a better life. And her hurt and loneliness which was suffocating her, and how she tried to take her own life years earlier.

With David’s support, Esme found the strength to seek help for her emotional wounds. She entered a drug rehabilitation program and started attending a local church, where she discovered the love and grace of Christ. Through prayer and faith, she felt a profound transformation within herself. She gave her life to Christ and felt a renewed sense of purpose and hope. And felt a confidence and strength that can only come from the LORD!

Esme’s journey wasn’t easy, but with David’s guidance and her newfound faith, she began to rebuild her life. She now devotes her time to helping others in drug rehab sharing her story of redemption and the power of Christ’s love.

Esme preaches about how Christ saved her life three times! —Once when Christ DIED for her and offered her salvation and eternal life -the second time from the brink of despair as she attempted to take her own life- and last from the grip of addiction.

Redemption is offered through Jesus Christ – He redeemed us by His blood thousands of years ago. Went to the cross willingly and quietly. His love covers us like a fine soothing balm. Esme found that very balm, finally through a trial of fire and emotional agony. Now she is free and transformed by the LORD Jesus Christ.

Anyone who is going through a similar story such as Esme’s please know- Jesus Christ can help. He is always with us. He promised that in Matthew 28:20. And He has all of His helpers to bring you through your tribulations and addictions and help you through your journey.

There is always help from above – and from God’s helpers right here on earth.

“Dear Lord, thank you for guiding Esme through her darkest times and showing her the path to redemption. Help her continue to be a testimony of hope for others and let your love shine through her every action., and may all those who are suffering with addiction, emotional distraught, agony, come to the light and lofe of Jesus, Amen.”

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
