Imagine God in his blinding glory sitting uplifted on his throne. He is looking through his radiance among the billions of inhabitants on earth. He zooms in on one of his young children, who is a resident of Sacramento California. There I was sitting at my desk wondering how I was going to get a valve cap to put on the stem of my automobile tire. I happened to mention my dilemma to a co-worker. Since, I was new to the area I did not know where to go to purchase a new tire cap.
A few minutes pass and he gets up from his desk telling me “I will be back momentarily.” I acknowledged him and went about my work. He comes back and makes a beeline for my desk. “Here you go.” He throws down the exact little black valve cap I need for my tire. Where did you get this?” “Never mind where I got it just take it.” “No where did you get it?” He said he took off his bike tire so he could give it to me. “No I won’t take this you need it more for your bike than I need it for my car.” “Just take it I can always get another one. Besides I felt like I should give this to you.” I relented and took the gift from him.
THE Lord reminded me of Philippians 4:19” And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.” I thanked and praised God for meeting a very little need for me. But to God it was an important need and he does care about our needs and by faith he will meet those needs. God cares about the minutest details of our lives. So know that God really does care.
