Are you tired of all the ads on television for pharmaceuticals? I sure am. There are drugs for almost everything under the sun, plus the ads glorify the use of them by showing people having a lot of fun and adventure. God did not intend for our bodies to be dependent on prescription drugs. Of course, many are very beneficial for keeping people healthy, and even prolonging life, but to what degree have they become a replacement for eating right and living an active life?
In the Garden of Eden God created plant life. Genesis 1:11-12 says, “And God said, ‘let the Earth sprout vegetation, plants yielding seed, and fruit trees bearing fruit, which is their seed each according to its kind on the Earth.’” There you have it. Fruits and vegetables grown on trees and plants, or in other words, natural foods. There is a catchy saying that goes, “Better to eat food grown on plants than food made in plants,” referring to food made in buildings.
There are many foods beneficial for almost anything. I have a book in my personal library entitled,“The Doctor’s Book of Food Remedies.” It has over 650 pages of food to eat for almost any kind of physical ailment, and even some psychological problems. In addition, there are foods that resemble the body parts that they are made to keep healthy. For example, carrots when cut crosswise resemble the iris of the eye, which are beneficial for sight. Kidney beans are the shape of kidneys and meant to help keep the kidneys functioning well. For a more comprehensive listing of such foods click here:

Again, the question to ask is to what extent are you and I depending upon drugs more than we need to because we’re not eating as God intended?
I interviewed Dr. Michael Donaldson who attends my church. He has a PhD in chemical engineering and is the Research Science Director for Hallelujah Acres. (myhdiet.com). The hallelujah diet is a biblically based diet that focuses on whole plant-based foods. I asked Dr. Donaldson seven questions. Those questions and answers will be given in the second half of this article.

This is a much needed article. Thanks. I am tired of the concept of “throwing another drug at your problem.” Keep up the good work!
