Exposure of Planned Parenthood: Spiritual Poverty/Material Wealth

What odd emotional contradictions I’ve experienced this week.

I have begun reading Kisses From Katie. The New York Times bestseller about Katie Davis, a young woman who gave up her comfortable life for a fulfilled one. After graduating high school, she skipped college and went to Uganda. A young girl, so filled with the love of Jesus that she could not keep from sharing His love with those in need.

Not everyone receives a call like Katie’s. I must admit, however, that while reading her story, I feel a bit ashamed to confess that I don’t think I could do what she did. I am amazed to read her stories about the “critters” in her house and of the challenges she faces every day.

When God calls, He equips. That is the most amazing thing about God. He knows just who to call for the job.

I have cried until the tears no longer come; my heart is broken. My spirit is poured out in agony as I see the desperate plight of my people. Little children and tiny babies are fainting and dying in the streets. (Lamentations 2:11)

God called a high school girl, after only a two-week mission trip, with no teaching or nursing degree–to teach and care for the children in Uganda. Because He knew she would share His love.

The ministry she started for the children of Uganda is Amazima.org.  It is the place she now calls home, where she is Mommy to a houseful of adopted children. Reading her story has been an incredible blessing. The love of Jesus beams from the pages of her book as well as the website.

Now the contrast …

Incredulous. It is the only way to describe my feelings upon hearing some of the responses to the secretly recorded lunch discussion regarding the buying and selling of baby body parts by Planned Parenthood.

I have to wonder, “Do these people have souls?” Of course I know they do. We all do.

All souls, however, will not reach the same final destination.

How is it that anyone can watch the videos or read the text of the conversations and not be heartbroken and disgusted? We can now see yet-to-be-born babies on an ultrasound monitor. Many have been present and have set their eyes on a newborn baby. Who could not be sickened at the idea of harvesting the body parts of these miracles of life?

Is America no longer a civilized society? Is this now a land of barbarians? It appears we may, indeed, be living amongst the “heathen.”

Leviticus 18:21Do not permit any of your children to be offered as a sacrifice to Molech, for you must not bring shame on the name of your God. I am the Lord.

There are, and will continue to be evils in the world. It is a fallen world. People are deceived. Our intellect and technology are now dark shadows over this blessed nation. We have become a nation of gods unto ourselves.

Only in a place where Satan rules could a story like this unfold. A story that includes a video suggesting the potentially illegal use an abortion procedure that is “less crunchy” in an effort to preserve the body parts that are, in essence “on order.”

Damage control includes spinning the story to find fault with The Center for Medical Progress, the organization responsible for the investigative report and video.

Some politicians see no reason to investigate the allegations.  Even though there are videos of two separate occasions which demonstrate the abortion industry’s willingness to participate in the selling of human body parts. This is mind boggling to me.

In America, we are supposed to be presumed innocent before proven guilty. So for the sake of argument lets assume that they are not selling “specimens” taken from abortions they have provided. Shouldn’t it be investigated to confirm or deny it?

If proven true, our tax dollars going to an organization that is participating in criminal (not to mention abhorrent) activity. If we the American people–Christians, non-Christians, Pro-Life, Pro-Choice, men and women–are not all outraged enough to demand the truth, what does that say about us as human beings?

Whether in the name of “medical research” or simply in the name of profit, the day that this becomes acceptable is the day we can no longer call ourselves civilized.

Is this practice acceptable as long as it is for a good cause? Would you call for the de-funding of Planned Parenthood if the allegations are true? How far should we go to advance medical research?

  1. I think Planned Parenthood should have been defunded years ago. The American public has long been opposed to spending tax dollars for them. This organization and pro-choice people have become “seared in their own conscience as with a branding iron,” as prophesied in I Timothy 4:2, in the last days. The other problem is unfortunately, but Obama and Harry Reid are blocking everything the American public is for, and would be good for the country.

    • We can only pray that these recent videos will open the eyes of the people to the evil that is going on in the name of “women’s health.” Like in just about every area of life there are those simply seeking their own personal gain. It is others, however, who “buy what their selling.” (and I don’t mean body parts) They have convinced women to believe the babies that are alive within them are nothing more than a blob of tissue. One that can be discarded if it is a disruption to her life. It is her “body-her choice.” It is safe to assume that when signing the consent form for her aborted baby to be used for research, that a woman could convince herself that she is doing something good. – It’s for medical research, right? It’s an unpleasant situation, but she might as well have something good come out of it. – We are all vulnerable to self-deception as well as to the deception of others. It can be an effective tool of satan when we are not on guard and grounded in God’s word.
I pray for all the women who have fallen victim to this deception. The women who may have had an abortion in the past, for those who have advised someone to have one (and for those who feel they could have done more to prevent it.) Seeing the videos may bring feelings of deep sorrow and guilt (another effective tool.)
There are indeed those who are seared in their own conscience. I believe there are many others who will be convicted. The evidence is in the outrage by the American people. For so long PP has defined the narrative as pro-life people wanting to “take away women’s rights.” We are now seeing the ugly truth exposed in these videos, as well as by former employees.
PP must be investigated. The videos, which continue to expose evidence of unethical and apparently illegal activity. We cannot continue to permit the government to give our tax dollars to this organization. If there are still people who find it to be a worthy cause, in spite of the videos they can ‘choose’ to donate to it if they wish. (That is if an investigation doesn’t lead to evidence of illegal activity that forces them to close their doors.)
      Thanks for your comments John.

      • It is very sad that people need to have a law to tell them what is right and wrong. I do not think that an investigation is necessary. The videos say it all; they are all the evidence we need. It is a matter of our Congress laying down the law, once and for all, doing away with all funding, and not allowing a few individuals to thwart the will of the people. The problem is that we have too many people in Congress who also have a seared conscience. Last night presidential candidate Christi shared how he changed from pro-choice to pro-life. All it took was for him to hear the beating heart of his unborn child.
