The Times In Which We Live

Even some secular people are beginning to realize that the world is heading toward a dramatic plot like expressed in Revelation 13. People like Peter Thiel, a billionaire  in the technological field in Silicon Valley, is holding seminars on the antichrist. There is an interest in prophecy even among the secular people.

Not only am I glad to be a member of God’s kingdom of light, but also a student of prophecy. I had the wonderful privilege of knowing Tim LaHaye,  co-author of the Left Behind series, who pastored a church I attended. It was also exciting to hear Hal Lindsey speak at a  conference when I was a freshman in college, who was the author of  The Late Great Planet Earth.  Both of these books sold tens of millions of copies and were translated into multiple languages. People want to know about the future of the world and humanity. These two men have passed into their eternal home, but the interest in Bible prophecy is alive and well. Because of these two men, I have been a follower of Bible prophecy ever since my college days, and now I am witnessing all the prophecies coming together.

It is an exciting time in which to live, seeing all the prophecies converging in this generation at a very rapid rate. For those who have a personal relationship with Jesus there is a great future ahead. God has a divine timeline for the rapture of all true believers, as well as the events of the world. However, God is “stretching out” His patience as long as necessary, “not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance”(II Peter 3:9).

The turmoil among government and nations, the  lawlessness, more intense earthquakes, decline in morality, and increased evil, as well as many other world conditions, are all signs that the second coming of Jesus is very near. Christians, are we developing a longing to be in the presence of the Lord? But as long as we are still here, do we see it as an opportunity to get the truth of the gospel out to as many people as possible and in any way we can?

I personally am thankful and excited to be a part of this website ministry that is spreading the gospel to countries all over the globe. I encourage you to become a part of a ministry either within your local church or outside the church, to reach people with the good news of the gospel in the time we have left, because the “door of opportunity” will soon be closing before God‘s judgment comes upon humanity for all those who have chosen not to accept Jesus as his or her personal Savior.

“There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven, given among men by which we must be saved”(Acts 4:12). He will give you a hope and peace in the midst of all the world’s turmoil, and will spare you from the coming judgment.

  3. What I am about to say is my own opinion but I hope others will agree-

The world has been full of distractions even in the month of December when we should be focusing on celebrating the birth of Christ’s first coming 2,000 years ago. Somehow Christ is left out of Christmas while people are running to and fro buying gifts and planning ways to enhance their giving and receiving of presents which has nothing to do with this advent. Decorations are a priority to light the way for a jolly time. And of course Santa is the hero and expected to show up for the children who are told to look forward to his coming while they sleep. Unfortunately many people spend themselves into deeper debt as the pressure of giving is like a necessity. With all the festivities, there will be pain in the financial arena once the celebration has ended. We have turned a holy day into a holiday and the baby is missing from the scene.
This is nothing new for it has been the norm for so long.
How far this world has gone over multiple generations with this fake scenario that replaces the real reason for this season. Christ our Lord has come as our Savior! We couldn’t receive a better gift than this.One.
How patient the Lord has been though it would seem that it grieves Him when He has given His best to the world.
All the more for those who look to Him in love at His return.
Many are tired of this type of disrespect that has taken over the world. I believe it is to be for the right reason with the right agenda that celebration takes place for it starts with our heart to receive Him. Beyond that there is no joy or hope for those who choose to ignore Him.
All the more now as we anticipate His second coming and He will be honored and praised as we finally see Him face to face. Amen
