ARE YOU AN “I WILL” CHRISTIAN?

Of all the psalms, this one, which is the longest; must be one of the best, and it talks about God’s precious word.
在所有诗篇中，这一篇是最长的，也是最美的一篇，它谈论的是神宝贵的话语。

We have a bible reading group at church. 43 people are on it, and we have to clock in to read 2 chapters per day.

Up to now the highest daily number has been 22.

Why don’t we have the same attitude that the psalmist had in this beautiful psalm?

Note he says, “I will.” He makes a commitment to the Word of God.

Someone has testified that only half of Christians read the bible every day.

We need to make a commitment to the reading of the Bible.
我们需要立志每天读圣经。

The devil will put any obstacle in front of you to stop you reading and meditating on scripture, even Christian service.
魔鬼会用各种障碍拦阻你读经、默想圣经，甚至用服事来分散你的注意力。

The Bible is the greatest treasure trove in the world; it is our spiritual food.
圣经是世界上最伟大的宝藏，是我们的灵粮。

Don’t just read the Bible, meditate on it through the day, let it drip into your spirit.
不要仅仅读圣经，还要整天思想它，让它滴入你的灵魂深处。

Let it take up residence in your mind, let it encompass your whole being: Colossians 3:16.
让神的话住在你心里，充满你的全人——参见歌罗西书 3:16。

You may have heard of this before, we don’t know who the author is, but I sure agree with him:

The Bible contains . . .

the mind of God,
神的心意，

the state of man,
人的光景，

the way of salvation,
救恩的道路，

the doom of sinners, and

the happiness of believers.

Its doctrines are holy,
它的教义是圣洁的，

its precepts are binding,
它的诫命是有约束力的，

its histories are true, and
它的历史是真实的，

its decisions are immutable.

Read it to be wise,
读圣经使你有智慧，

believe it to be safe,
信圣经使你得保障，

and practice it to be holy.
行圣经使你成为圣洁。

The Bible contains . . .
圣经还包含…

light to direct you,
引导你的光，

food to support you,
扶持你的粮，

and comfort to cheer you.
安慰你的喜乐。

It is . . .
它是…

the traveler’s map,
旅行者的地图，

the pilgrim’s staff,
朝圣者的杖，

the pilot’s compass,
领航者的指南针，

the soldier’s sword and
战士的宝剑，

the Christian’s charter.
基督徒的宪章。

Here too, Heaven is opened — and the gates of Hell are disclosed.
在这里，天堂向我们敞开，地狱的门也显露无遗。

Christ is its grand subject,
基督是它的主题，

our good is its design, and
我们的益处是它的目的，

the glory of God is its end.
神的荣耀是它的终极目标。

The Bible should . . .

fill the memory,

rule the heart
掌管我们的心，

and guide the feet.
引导我们的脚步。

Read it slowly, frequently and prayerfully.
要慢慢地、常常地、带着祷告地读圣经。

The Scripture is…
圣经是…

a mine of wealth,
财富的矿藏，

a paradise of glory,
荣耀的乐园，

and a river of pleasure!
喜乐的江河！

It . . .

is given to you in life,
在你今生赐给你，

will be opened at the judgment,
在审判时要展开，

and be remembered forever.
并且要永远被记念。

The Bible . . .
圣经……

involves the highest responsibility,
带来最大的责任，

rewards the greatest labor, and
奖赏最伟大的劳苦，

will condemn all who trifle with its sacred contents!
也要定罪所有轻视其圣洁内容的人！

Let’s all be “I WILL” CHRISTIANS!
