Gratitude in Every Season – A Prayer Of Thanks

In springtime’s bloom or winter’s cold embrace,
I lift my thanks, beholding His grace.
Through every season, His mercies shine,
A faithful love, forever mine.
My heart rejoices, His name I raise.
Forever more I give Him prase.

In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. — 1 Thessalonians 5:18

When harvest fills the fields with gold,
Or barren winds through valleys roll,
I sing His praise, my soul shall soar,
For God is good forevermore,
His blessings countless, rich, untold.
His mercy never ceases to unfold.

O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.Psalm 107:1

In trials deep, His hand sustains,
Through storm and fire, His peace remains.
I trust His word, my anchor strong,
My lips declare thanksgiving’s song,
His light eternal breaks all chains.
His Love and blessings fall like rain.

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. Philippians 4:6

The morning sun, the evening star,
Proclaim His glory near and far.
Creation sings, the heavens ring,
And grateful hearts their praises bring,
For God is present where we are.
His mercy heals each hidden scar.

The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. — Psalm 19:1

So let my soul forever say,
Thanks be to God both night and day.
In joy or sorrow, peace or strife,
I’ll bless His name throughout my life,
His love endures, His truth my stay.
And His promises will never fray.

By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.Hebrews 13:15

“LORD God, we thank You for every season of life — for joy and trial, for abundance and waiting. Teach us to rejoice always, to trust Your hand, and to see Your mercies new each morning. May our hearts overflow with gratitude, and may our lives be a continual offering of praise to Your holy name.  In Jesus name, Amen.”

  1. Beautifully written with abounding clarity.

The scriptures make it crystal clear
He showers His own with a life that endears,
    With all our needs metered out;
We are assured that we need not doubt.
So we can take Him at His word,
For His faithfulness delivers the antidote that cured
    The debt of our sin
As the east is separated from the west,
    It can never meet again
Once you believe, repent, and place your trust in Him

  2. This beautiful poem came at just the right time for a financial trial I am going through, and that could last a couple of months. God’s timing for articles is perfect. Thank you so much.

    • John, oh-thank you for sharing that with us. God is so amazing, isn’t He?
All of our articles, He is the inspiration behind them, and He knows who needs to hear and read what He gives us to write.

I will keep you in prayer John – financial stress and strain is quite the trial, understand how you’re feeling. You’ll get through it, with His help and your astounding faith.

I always think of 1 Corinthians 10:13 – it brings me comfort when going through trials.

God Bless you and your family~

  3. Beautiful and heartwarming. Thank you!
