Wasting My Time – 浪费我的时间 part 1

Ephesians 5
以弗所书 5

11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
不要与黑暗无果子的行为有任何相交，倒要责备这些事。

12 For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.
因为他们暗中进行的那些事，连提起来都是可耻的。

13 But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.
凡被光责备的，就被显明出来，因为一切能显明的都是光。

14 Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.
所以主说：你这睡着的人哪，醒过来吧！从死里复活吧！基督就要光照你了。

15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
你们要谨慎行事，不要像愚昧人，当像智慧人，

16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
要爱惜光阴，因为现今的世代邪恶。

WASTING MY TIME
浪费我的时间

I wonder if you are like me, the time I waste on worthless stuff on my cell phone is uncountable.
不知道你是否像我一样，在手机上浪费在无价值事物上的时间多得数不清。

Now cell phones aren’t the only problem for people today, there are also video games, which seem to have taken over millions of young people’s lives.
如今手机并不是人们唯一的难题，还有电子游戏，它们似乎已经占据了数百万年轻人的生活。

Many people not just in China, but across the world are trapped for hours in a cycle that cannot be broken by human means.
不仅在中国，全世界都有许多人被困在一种人类自身无法打破的循环中，一困就是好几个小时。

Now there are programmes that can help, but they can’t get to the root of the problem and that is Sin.
现在确实有一些程序可以帮忙，但它们无法触及问题的根源——那就是罪。

Now are there good points about Cell phones/video games:
那么，手机和电子游戏有没有好处呢？

Well cell phones allow us to use apps that are very useful, to make secure payments, to travel safety and to pay bills. The cell phone has many apps that are useful.
手机让我们可以使用非常实用的应用程序，进行安全支付，安全出行，缴纳账单。手机上有很多有用的应用。

Video games are beneficial as your hand and eye coordination will certainly improve and they can be educational.. well one or two can.
电子游戏也有益处，它们肯定能提升手眼协调能力，有些还能具有教育意义……嗯，至少有一两个是这样的。

So what’s so bad about these technological marvels:
那么，这些科技奇迹到底有什么不好呢？

First of all, they are time wasting thieves.
首先，它们是偷时间的贼。

I know this from my own life, I can spend time checking on websites or looking at things on you tube, and I look at the time and an hour has gone by.
我从自己的生活中深有体会，我会上网浏览网站或看YouTube，不知不觉一看钟，一个小时就过去了。

We need to realise that every minute we have is a precious gift. I am now 66 and I look back at my life and wonder how much time, I have wasted looking at worthless stuff on the internet or cell phone, but I can’t have that time back, I wish I could.
我们需要意识到，我们拥有的每一分钟都是宝贵的礼物。我现在66岁，回首一生，常想自己浪费了多少时间在网络和手机上的无价值内容上，那些时间再也回不来了，我多么希望能拿回来啊。

In Ephesians 5:16, we are told to redeem the time, literally to buy it back. So how do we do this:
以弗所书5章16节告诉我们“要爱惜光阴”，字面意思就是把时间赎回来。那么，我们该怎么做呢？

Instead of using our time to play the video game or surf the internet, use that time for something that is worthwhile.
不要把时间用在玩电子游戏或上网冲浪上，而要用在有价值的事情上。

For the Christian, this means taking time to spend time with God in prayer and bible reading.
对基督徒来说，这意味着抽出时间与神祷告、读经。

The more time we do this, the less attractive the video game/cell phone becomes.
我们这样做的次数越多，电子游戏和手机的吸引力就越小。

When was the last time you turned off your cell phone and computer and got your bible and notebook and did a bible study on your own, asking the Lord to open his word to you?
你上一次关掉手机和电脑，拿起圣经和笔记本，自己做查经，求主向你敞开祂的话语，是什么时候？

When was the last time, you spent an hour in prayer with the Lord, just pouring out your heart to him？
你上一次花一个小时与主祷告，单单向祂倾心吐意，是什么时候？

Now I realise that some people who are reading this, who aren’t Christians, so my first plea to you is this.
我知道有些阅读这篇文章的人还不是基督徒，所以我首先恳求你们的是：

You need to come to God in repentance and faith, because you can’t deal with these things on your own. If you come in faith, God will forgive your sin, give you a new heart and enable you to deal with these addictions.
你们需要带着悔改和信心来到神面前，因为凭自己你们无法对付这些事。如果你凭信心来到祂面前，神会赦免你的罪，赐给你一颗新心，并使你有能力对付这些瘾。

If you as a teenager are spending hours on your cell phone or playing vide games, be warned.
如果你是一个青少年，每天花好几个小时在手机或电子游戏上，我要警告你。

You think that you have all the time in the world, let me assure you, time goes so quickly, it seems like yesterday, that I was at school and everything was new, but now that time is gone, please don’t waste a second. Don’t live with any regrets.
你觉得自己有大把时间，我可以肯定地告诉你，时间过得飞快。仿佛昨天我还在上学，一切都是新鲜的，但现在那些时光已经一去不复返了。请不要浪费一秒钟，不要留下任何遗憾。

Find a hobby that doesn’t involve the cell phone.. do exercise, many young people who constantly play cell phone/video games have obesity issues.
找一个不涉及手机的爱好吧……去运动，许多经常玩手机或电子游戏的年轻人都有肥胖问题。

Psalm 119
诗篇 119
9 Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.
少年人用什么洁净他的行为呢？是要遵守你的话。

Secondly, what are you putting into your mind?
第二，你在往自己脑子里装什么？

What you listen to, look at and play online stays in your mind.
你听的、看的、在网上玩的东西都会留在你脑海里。

Once junk is ingrained in your mind, it will stay there. You see the Christian has to be refreshed and renewed by the word of God.
一旦垃圾深深植入你的脑海，它们就会一直留在那里。你看，基督徒必须靠神的话语来更新和洁净。

Romans 12
罗马书 12

2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
不要效法这个世界，只要心意更新而变化，叫你们察验何为神的善良、纯全、可喜悦的旨意。

Daily meditation on the word of God, will allow your mind to be cleansed of all the junk, my cell phone has a junk feature, if I let too much junk build up on my phone, eventually the phone will not run properly, likewise if we are constantly putting junk into our lives, our minds and eventually our bodies will begin to suffer.
每天默想神的话语，就能让你的心思意念被洁净，清除所有垃圾。我的手机有一个“垃圾清理”功能，如果让太多垃圾堆积，手机最终会运行不顺畅。同样，如果我们不断把垃圾塞进生活里，我们的心思意念，最终连身体也会开始受损。

37 Turn away mine eyes from beholding vanity; and quicken thou me in thy way.

So we must turn away from wicked things, but what must we turn them to.
所以我们必须转离邪恶的事，但我们要转向什么呢？

Every time you go on your cell phone and view a website, ask yourself these questions based on this verse, is it pure, true, honest and virtuous.
每次你拿起手机浏览网页时，根据这节经文问自己：这是纯洁的吗？是真实的吗？是诚实的吗？是有美德的吗？

8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
弟兄们，最后，凡是真实的、凡是可敬的、凡是公义的、凡是清洁的、凡是可爱的、凡是有美名的，若有什么德行，若有什么称赞，你们都要思念这些事。

9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
你们在我身上所学习、所领受、所听见、所看见的，这些事你们都要去行，赐平安的神就必与你们同在。

Thirdly, people who have addictions start off slowly, every alcoholic started by drinking a sip of beer or wine, once addicted it holds you captive and it gets worse.
第三，上瘾的人都是从慢慢开始的，每个酗酒者都是从喝一小口啤酒或葡萄酒开始的，一旦上瘾，它就会捆绑你，让情况越来越糟。

So it is with people who are addicted to video games/internet pornography, each of them start off slowly, it’s just one video game, it’s just one website and you end up spending hours and hours on these things.
玩电子游戏或网络色情上瘾的人也是如此，他们都是慢慢开始的，先是玩一个游戏，看一个网站，结果就花了好几个小时。

Your whole life is taken over completely by this desperate need to play this or that video game, to achieve the top score at that game.
你整个生活完全被这种拼命想玩某个游戏、想要拿到最高分的渴望所占据。

The people who play these games need this to gain security, a security that can only be gained through Christ.
玩这些游戏的人需要从中获得安全感，但这种安全感只能从基督那里得到。

Fourthly, video games are not reality.
第四，电子游戏不是现实。

Today, there is virtual reality, but it is not real life.
如今有虚拟现实，但那不是真实的生活。

It gives the player an artificial sense of achievement, the player thinks he has security and achievement, but as I have said, security can only be found in Christ.
它给玩家一种虚假的成就感，玩家觉得自己有安全感和成就，但正如我所说，安全感只能在基督里找到。

Why are you seeking security, a sense of belonging on your cell phone/video game console, you will never find it there.
你为什么要在手机或游戏机上寻找安全感和归属感呢？你在那里永远找不到。

Jeremiah 2

13 For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.
因为我的百姓做了两件恶事：就是离弃我这活水的泉源，为自己凿出池子，是破裂不能存水的池子。

Fifthly, it causes isolation and break up of relationships.
第五，它会导致孤立和关系的破裂。

Many teenagers spend hours on their video game console, they don’t stop to eat meals, they don’t even stop to converse with parents. Their whole life is the video game console. The first thing they go to in the morning is their video game, the whole house is controlled by the game console.
许多青少年在游戏机前一玩就是好几个小时，不停下来吃饭，甚至不跟父母说话。他们的整个生活就是游戏机。早上第一件事就是打开游戏，整个家都被游戏机控制了。

Family meals/family time/family conversation is blocked out because the children are spending time playing the current craze.
家庭用餐、家庭时光、家庭交谈都被挡住了，因为孩子们把时间都花在玩当前最流行的游戏上。
