What We Need Right Now

Love came down from Heaven on Christmas Day!

“And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the son of man which is in heaven.” (John 3:13)

God’s condemnation of fallen man, His charge against him, is this:

“And this is the condemnation, that light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness more than the light, because their deeds were evil.” (John 13:19)

The world rejects this great love come down from Heaven. This Love is what the world needs right now. It needs the One who is Love and brought His Father’s Love to us. He is Christ the King!

Do you know this Love?

What We Need Right Now

Immorality and sex scandals dominate the news.
The enemy now is your neighbor sitting across the aisle.
We demand the right to kneel so we can express our views,
While respect and honor are considered to be vile.

Black and White are being divided yet again.
It seems nothing was learned from our past.
Everyone is seeking their own personal gain,
While free At last for us all is about to pass.

Modern day Cain is still killing Abel.
Today’s Esau continues to threaten Jacob.
The Herods of our world still want to kill the King born in a stable,
While the King’s Church sleeps comfortably and can’t be awakened.

There is no peace a great writer once said.
Once again peace on Earth seems to be dead.
Hating one another seems to be growing strong.
It surely does mock that great Christmas song.
Instead of peace and good will towards men,
We see only a world that boasts of it’s sin.

What we need right now,
Our world sees so little of.
We need a renewed faith in God.
We need a revived hope in our Coming King.
But what we need the most right now,
Was also sung in a popular song.
What we need right now,
Is Love Sweet Love!

Love died for all.
Love remains forever.
Love is better than this life as the children of the fall.
Love binds everything together.
What we need right now is Love!
Love lifts up the fallen and gives them a reason to sing.
How do I know this?
Because from my sin, Love lifted even a wretch like me!
