Finding Beauty In The Wilderness

Our lives are full of wilderness spaces
when we find ourselves in the wrong places.

Whether they are visible to our eyes
or beyond the most beautiful blue skies.

Our minds tend to walk faster in its strides,
while wilderness tempts us to run and hide.

Our adversary, the Devil, himself,
wouldn’t be happy unless we’re in Hell.

However, those that are near to Your heart,
You’ll never forsake or ever depart.

Yet the enemy still tempts us to stray,
by causing self-pity to be displayed.

Should our minds succumb to his evil schemes,
we will have perceived with uncertainty.

Confusion begins to quickly set in,
as our good thoughts become active again.

If confusion continues to stay there,
our minds will be filled, uncertain, and bare.

Help us to see what You’ve seen in us, Lord,
while looking toward our future, not before.

Wilderness moments, we must all go through,
to understand exactly what to do.

Even if the fruit of Your plant wonders,
it can still bloom in the midst of others.

All this time we have spent here on this Earth,
causes our Spirit’s to bring forth new birth.

Opening our eyes to wonderful views,
realizing things that we never knew.

Lord, renew our minds with Your Words this day,
knowing You are there every time we pray.

Every barren desert that comes our way,
is used for learning more of You each day.

Praying should always support our beliefs,
as His Spirit gives us the Words to speak.

Through His Word we can see beauty instead,
knowing that we’ll be with Jesus ahead!

Psalm 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

Linda hopes to put another book together, as the Lord leads, and is hoping to pursue her interests in writing a memoir. Her writings are concentrated on hearing the heart of God, by encouraging other believers and revealing God's heart to all.
