Through My Father’s Eyes

Through my Father’s eyes, I am a priceless gem,
so precious as He holds me close to Him.

He walks with me through each and ev’ry trial,
and I can often see His loving smile.

His Word I treasure in my heart each day,
knowing His Spirit will show me the way.

The love He has for so many others,
should also be found in one another.

When this life has become too much and more,
I cry out the name of Jesus, my Lord.

The journey He lived out while here on Earth,
began before Mary had given birth.

Jesus taught the people for thirty years,
and when He prayed, He shed real human tears.

The last moments Jesus had knelt in prayer,
His heart was breaking with such great despair.

He was fully human and fully God,
as He walked where all the angels have trod.

Our Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus within,
willingly bore the pain for our sins.

Why did God send His One and only Son?
to show us His love and not just for One.

He gave His Son to redeem all mankind,
to those willing to surrender their lives.

To seal the cost paid for our Salvation,
three days later He was resurrected!

The sound of this new life that was offered,
had given some peace while others faltered.

Soon thereafter His Holy Spirit came,
done in the pow’r of Jesus mighty name!

Those shown mercy and grace from God above,
are the souls willing to receive His love.

One day Jesus will come for us again,
taking us to our promised home with Him.

Our ransom was paid for on a gruesome cross,
by the Lamb of God, willing to pay the cost.

What do you believe our Father will see?
The blood that Jesus shed for you and me!

Psalm 8:4-5 “What is man, that thou art mindful of him? And the son of man, that thou visitest him? For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels And hast crowned him with glory and honour.”

About Linda Delgado

Linda Delgado was born and raised in Springfield, Missouri. She moved down to Corpus Christi, Texas, with her parents, where she graduated from high school in 1977. She attempted to pursue a medical field, soon after. Realizing that's not where God's plan was for her, she continued following the Lord. In 1985, she married her husband, Rodolfo Delgado (with the Lord as of September 2023). In August of 2022, she became a Poetry author ("Living Poems: From the Father's Heart - Inspirational Poems'"). She also enjoys sharing God's heart through freelance writing, as well. She is also a member of Faithwriters.com. Linda still enjoys the companionship of two pets, Tina (Chihuahua) and Miss Kitty (Tabby). Her grandson (now 19) finished high school this past year. Linda hopes to put another book together, as the Lord leads, and is hoping to pursue her interests in writing a memoir. Her writings are concentrated on hearing the heart of God, by encouraging other believers and drawing others to Him.
