Accountability: Why Public Policy Matters To A Christian
Why should anyone care? Really? As Christians are we not to love all people regardless of who they choose to love? Of course we are. So why concern ourselves with personal life decisions such as these? Why involve ourselves in the controversy? One very good reason is that when judges legislate from the bench we no longer have a representative republic. A better reason is because of what God has to say.
Why Fight?
What is worth taking a stand and fighting for – even when gridlock is the result? Erosion of our freedoms? Fiscal responsibility? … Life? Should Christians even concern themselves with worldly politics when we know that Romans 8:28 tells us: ‘And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.’?(NLT)
