March 15 – This week, pray for the needs of churches in Nanning. Pray for churches in Nanning to be transformed by the gospel of Christ.

March 16 – A pastor in Nanning says, “In Nanning, most of us are first-generation believers who started leading churches out of natural zeal, without really knowing what a church is or how to lead one. In some ways, God is tearing down churches that grew fast but had a lot of foundational issues, churches that don’t match Scripture. But as we’ve increased our contact with churches outside of Nanning, including people from elsewhere coming to plant churches, we’ve grown in our theological awareness. We’re gradually we’re going back to Scripture to see what the church should be and how to rebuild.” Pray that churches in Nanning would be rooted in the gospel, and that unstable foundations would be torn down and replaced with the stable foundation of the gospel of Christ.

March 17 – A pastor in Nanning says, “Because some brothers and sisters have lost jobs, some have left Nanning—some for other cities, some back to their hometowns in the countryside, and a few have emigrated. We used to have four small-group leaders; now we have two—two have emigrated and a third is planning to. So that’s a challenge we face: economic pressure means some who haven’t found suitable work may look for opportunities in other cities. For the church, when those people are church leaders or volunteers, we have to find new church leaders or volunteers from among those who remain.” Pray for God to provide for the financial needs of Christians in Nanning, and for there to be church leaders and volunteers who can help lead and serve the churches.

March 18 – A pastor in Nanning says, “We went through some persecution a few years ago. When we tried to return to an office building—we tried two or three years ago—we couldn’t go back. So now we meet in a residential space, a private home. That has drawbacks: when seekers come, they may feel the setting isn’t as good as an office or another kind of space.” Pray for this church in the midst of these challenges, and that God would bless them despite limitations in their gathering space.

March 19 – One Nanning pastor says, “In the church there are some brothers and sisters who are seeking God and pursuing godliness, but another part—their lives are taken up with work and family. What they care about or pray about is often immediate difficulties: pressure, children, work, marriage, conflict, and so on.” Pray for God to be present with Nanning believers in their difficulties, and that they would not be distracted from Christ by the anxieties of life.

March 20 – Expanding on this, a pastor in Nanning notes, “The root problem is that the Christians who come to church don’t understand what the Bible is saying or what the gospel is. So even if they think ‘believing in Jesus is good, I’ll go to heaven, no downside, I’m a sinner, I need Jesus’—when they go home they live the same as before.” Pray that Christians in Nanning would see the depth of the gospel, that it would holistically transform every area of their lives.

March 21 – A pastor in Nanning talks about the maturation process of believers in Nanning over the last decade: “The old ‘pitch’ was the benefits of believing in Jesus; now people who’ve believed don’t seem to see much benefit. So, we were aiming in the wrong direction. After more than ten years, lives were unchanged. We need to start from that foundation. When believers really understand what the gospel is, what the kingdom is, what the purpose of our faith is, I believe they will change.” Pray that believers in Nanning would understand the gospel truly, and that their lives would change as a result of Christ’s grace.

3月16日- 南宁一位牧者说：“在南宁，我们大多数都是第一代信徒，起初带领教会更多是出于天然的热心，却不太明白教会到底是什么、该如何带领。某种意义上，神正在拆毁一些发展很快、但根基问题很多、不符合圣经的教会。不过随着我们与南宁以外的教会接触增多，也有外地的人来植堂，我们对神学的认识更清楚了。我们正在慢慢回到圣经，重新看教会应当是什么样，并学习如何重建。” 求主使南宁的教会扎根在福音上；也求主拆毁不稳的根基，用基督福音稳固的根基来替代。

3月17日- 南宁一位牧者说：“因为一些弟兄姊妹失业，有人离开南宁——有的去别的城市，有的回到农村老家，少数人移民。我们以前有四位小组长，现在只剩两位——两位已经移民，第三位也计划要走。所以我们面临的挑战是：经济压力下，一些找不到合适工作的弟兄姊妹会去别的城市寻找机会。对教会来说，如果离开的人是领袖或同工，我们就需要在留下的人当中再兴起新的领袖或同工。” 求神供应南宁信徒的经济需要；也求主在教会中预备并兴起合适的领袖与同工，能够带领与服事教会。

3月18日- 南宁一位牧者说：“几年前我们经历过一些逼迫。我们曾想回到写字楼聚会——两三年前试过——但没能回去。现在只能在居民区的空间里聚会，也就是在私人住宅里。这有缺点：当慕道友来时，可能会觉得环境不如写字楼或其他场地好。” 求主在这些限制与挑战中坚固这间教会，也求神在聚会场地受限的情况下仍大大赐福他们。

3月19日- 南宁一位牧者说：“教会里有一部分弟兄姊妹在寻求神、追求敬虔，但也有另一部分人的生活被工作和家庭占满。他们在意或祷告的，常常是眼前的困难：压力、孩子、工作、婚姻、冲突等等。” 求神在南宁信徒的困难中与他们同在，也求主保守他们不被生活的忧虑分心，仍定睛基督。

3月20日- 同一位牧者进一步说：“根本问题是：来教会的基督徒并不明白圣经在讲什么，也不明白福音是什么。所以就算他们觉得‘信耶稣很好，我会去天堂，没有坏处；我是罪人，我需要耶稣’，但回到家里还是照旧生活，跟以前一样。” 求主让南宁的信徒看见福音的深度，使福音在他们生命的每个层面带来全面的更新与改变。

3月21日- 南宁一位牧者谈到过去十年信徒生命成熟的过程：“以前我们常强调信耶稣的好处；但现在信了的人似乎也看不出什么好处。所以我们过去的方向可能错了。十多年过去，生命没有改变。我们需要回到根基。当信徒真正明白福音是什么、神的国是什么、我们信仰的目的是什么，我相信他们就会改变。” 求主使南宁的信徒真实明白福音，也愿他们因基督的恩典而生命更新、结出改变的果子。

Finally, brothers,[a] pray for us, that the word of the Lord may speed ahead and be honoured,[b] as happened among you, 2 and that we may be delivered from wicked and evil men. For not all have faith. 3 But the Lord is faithful. Persecution is real, but we can and do share the gospel. Please pray that God would open up opportunities to share the gospel. People are in great need. Many people have mental problems, the society seems stable, but people are hurting very deeply. Please pray that the church, would be salt and light.

Consistent and fervent prayer is needed, please pray that the Chinese church would be filled with power and boldness and would by the preaching of the gospel, CHANGE MANY MILLIONS OF HEARTS IN CHINA.
