Blessings Through Scripture: A Poem

In whispers soft, the blessed find their rest,
In humble hearts, by God’s love expressed.
“Blessed are the poor in spirit,” they find peace,
“For theirs is the kingdom of heaven,” and joy does not cease.
Matthew 5:3

Through tears of sorrow, hope’s light shines bright,
For those who mourn, God heals their plight.
“Blessed are they that mourn,” in His embrace,
“For they shall be comforted,” by His grace.
Matthew 5:4

In meekness, strength is found, a quiet might,
To inherit the earth, with spirits pure and light.
“Blessed are the meek,” in their grace so grand,
“For they shall inherit the earth,” a promised land.
Matthew 5:5

Mercy given, mercy found, hearts intertwined,
Compassion’s blessing, in love unconfined.
“Blessed are the merciful,” with open hearts,
“For they shall obtain mercy,” as love imparts.
Matthew 5:7

In hunger and thirst, for righteousness sought,
Filled with God’s word, His truth is taught.
“Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst,” for right,
“For they shall be filled,” in God’s holy light.
Matthew 5:6

With pure hearts, the vision of God is clear,
In peace and love, they draw Him near.
“Blessed are the pure in heart,” they see His face,
“For they shall see God,” and know His grace.
Matthew 5:8

Peacemakers’ hands, in God’s work they strive,
Bringing love and unity, keeping hope alive.
“Blessed are the peacemakers,” their calling high,
“For they shall be called the children of God,” nigh.
Matthew 5:9

When persecuted for righteousness’ sake,
They stand firm, for faith they will not break.
“Blessed are they which are persecuted,” in this fight,
“For theirs is the kingdom of heaven,” in His light.
Matthew 5:10

Rejoice and be glad, in trials you face,
For great is your reward, in God’s embrace.
“Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you,” and defame,
“For great is your reward in heaven,” in His name.
Matthew 5:11-12

“LORD-Father, we ask for Your continued guidance and wisdom. Help us to walk in Your ways and to reflect Your love in our actions and words. May we be instruments of Your peace, spreading kindness and compassion to those around us. We lift up our hearts in thanksgiving, knowing that Your plans for us are good, and Your love is everlasting. Keep us steadfast in our faith and ever mindful of Your boundless grace, in Jesus’ name, Amen.”
