A Prayer for Moms

Dear Lord,

Thank you for all the moms. There is just so much to love about them. They conceived us and have taken care of us throughout our lives. We just want to take this moment to lift them all up in prayer. We pray that you will guide them in the coming year. Be with them as they make important decisions regarding their families. Be with them as they strive to be like the Proverbs 31 woman. Lord, I also ask that you will give them good health and bless them greatly in all they do.

Lord, I also want to lift each and every one of us up; as we all were conceived by our mom. I pray that we will all honor our mothers. I also pray that will be helpful and encouraging to our moms and that they will find joy in us. Thank you for choosing that special mom for each and every one of us.

Lord, in closing I just want to pray for those who are without their mom at this time, or even their dad. Please help these individuals to find peace and purpose, and know that they have a parent in you. Help them to be thankful and honor the parents that conceived them, and know that it is your will that they meet their biological parents again in heaven one day. We ask you these things in Jesus Christ name, Amen.

  1. To those you have prayed for, may I add those mother/child relationship that may be broken, whatever the reason. As those of us celebrate our ‘most wonderful mothers in the world,’ we must remember those who may not have experienced that relationship – or has seen it deteriorate. Jesus the healer of all things, may Your love and forgiveness flood the lives of those mothers and children who find themselves struggling through the day when many are celebrating.
