Are you growing weary of all the mass shootings, destructive protests, and other evil in the world?
Are you weary of people calling evil good and good evil?
Are you weary of people being out to get those who are living righteously?
Are you weary of some having all the wealth while others are struggling?
Psalm 37 has a lot to say about this. ” Fret not yourself because of evil doers, be not envious of wrong doers, but they will soon fade like the grass and wither like the green herb… Fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices… the wicked plots against the righteous and gnashes his teeth at him, but the Lord laughs at the wicked, for he sees that his day is coming… better is the little that the righteous has than the abundance of many wicked… the salvation of the righteous is from the Lord. He is their stronghold in the time of trouble…The Lord helps them and delivers them. He delivers them from the wicked and saves them because they take refuge in him.”(Verses 1-2, 7, 12-13, 16, 39-40).
Now read Isaiah 40:28-41: “Have You not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, The creator of the ends of the Earth. He does not faint or grow weary, his understanding is unsearchable, he gives power to the faint and to him who has no might he increase his strength. Even youths shall faint, and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted, but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.”
Are you weary of all the political corruption? Isaiah 40:23 says, “God brings princes to nothing and makes the rulers of the earth as emptiness.”
Continue doing good and sowing the seeds of the gospel. “Let us not grow weary of doing good. for in due season, we will reap, if we do not give up”(Galatians 6:9).
There is much reward for not growing weary as these verses in Revelation state:
It is commendable by God (Revelation 2:2-3).
There will be authority given over the nations (Revelation 2:26).
Jesus will confess your name before the father (Revelation 3:5).
You will be kept from the Tribulation (Revelation 3:8-10).
