Trusting And Putting Faith In God During A Storm

How many of you you have felt defeated, overwhelmed, depressed, or like giving up because of a lost job, home, loved one? Or maybe you’ve experienced divorce, money issues, feeling unloved, or confusion about your life? In that moment you feel like your faith is being shattered, and wondering why all this is happening to you. In storm seasons like these it can be hard to maintain hope. The storms of life can hit you hard.

When storms come I remember Jesus Calms the Storm…

Mark 4:35 And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side.

Like the disciples, we often become so blinded by the storms in our lives that we forget the power and the love of God who we serve. A lot of times we let our circumstances take our attention away from His promises. He promise us that He will provide for us, strengthen us, and sustain us to the end, but yet in the midst of all that, we lose our Faith when that is the time to be trusting Him.

Instead of letting yourself sink deeper into fear or pain, Pray! Pour out your heart to God from the moment you start your day to the moment you go to bed. Tell Him what’s worrying you and ask Him to bring you peace, and reaffirm your trust In God.

Whenever I am going though my Storm or Storms this verse calms the Storm for Me:

Philippians 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

No matter how hard the storm may be, hold on to your Faith. Remember God calms all storms. Don’t let your storms break you, but let your faith break the storms.
