Bring God With You

2 Corinthians 4:5-7 (NLT)—5) We don’t go around preaching about ourselves; we preach Christ Jesus, the Lord. All we say about ourselves is that we are your servants because of what Jesus has done for us. 6) For God, who said “Let there be light in the darkness,” has made us understand that this light is the brightness of the glory of God that is seen in the face of Jesus Christ. 7) But this precious treasure—this light and power that now shine within us—is held in our perishable containers, that is, in our weak bodies. So everyone can see that our glorious power is from God and is not our own.

God uses plain and ordinary people to demonstrate His power and love so that people will know that it has to be Him working in us when we are doing good works. We become totally different people when we allow His love to shine through our weaknesses. We may look the same—but we don’t act the same as we use to before we met Christ.  God’s love will flow through us when we let Him. Let His glorious light shine through you all day.

Psalm 18:28 (NLT)—LORD, You have brought light to my life; my God, you light up my darkness.

Psalm 36:9 (NLT)—For You are  the fountain of life, the light by which we see.

Matthew 5:16 (NLT)—In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.

Jesus is the light of the world. If we want His love to shine through us, we need to stay in His Word and pray often which is experiencing fellowship with God. Let’s pray to be more like Christ in all that we do. If we are broken, the Lord may be exalted in our lives. His will may be done through us easier when we surrender ourselves to Him. Don’t leave home without inviting Him to fill you with grace to demonstrate God’s love and compassion toward everyone you meet. We need God’s help to live well.

We can offer His truth to people wherever we go. When we are filled with God’s Word before we go about our daily routine, we will see how many people we can bless with the truth of His love. If you want your life to be different, ask God to show you how you need to change.

Accept others for who they are, and see how God works in you to complete your joy. We may not be able to influence or change other people, but with God’s help, we can change ourselves to bring about the results He wants. See how God works in you to show a positive change in others.

Ephesians 3:16-17 (NLT)—16) I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will give you mighty inner strength through his Holy Spirit. 17) And I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts as you trust in him. May your roots go down deep into the soil of God’s marvelous love.

(Ephesians 3:14-21 is about Paul’s beautiful prayer for spiritual empowering).
